Hello i am new here
Thanks for the advice. I work full time so I can't be sleeping. I'm afraid not eating will make it hard to sleep. We will see tonight I guess. So far today I have had a banana premier protein shake, 32 oz. grape power aid zero, a chocolate premier protein shake and a cup of broth. I imagine if I was to "cheat" I would have to start all over again and I don't want that so I am trying my best to hang in there albeit hungry as h***l. Having to pay for the surgery myself without insurance is helping also. I sure don't want it to be cancelled because I didn't follow the surgeons advice.
Good job. I had 2 SlimTime 10 oz shakes today and 150ml chicken broth (10 calories). My doctor is like each snack/meal has to be under 10 calories max 4 daily. I recently had hand hand surgery so I'm home unable to take pain medication as they say take with FOOD.
Keep up the good work on your pre op diet....
I don't remember if there are any restrictions on the snacks as long as they are zero calorie - another reason I need to carry the instructions with me! That must be awful having hand surgery and not being able to take anything for the pain. I remember the post op instructions for 2 weeks after the surgery say to take medicines by putting them in a teaspoonful of 1st stage baby applesauce. I take prilosec for acid reflux and they told me I would have to open up the capsule and mix it with the baby applesauce - YUCK!
My doctor says no sauce until 2nd week. Have to take pills with jello but I don't find it heavy enough.
Hi there,
i had mine done on April 5, just 10 days ago. I am still on liquid diets but it hasn't been bad so far. As soon as you can get up and start walking. Good luck and keep in touch.
Steph- Welcome and Congrats, on taking charge, of your future health!!! While I agree it is nice to find peeps who are at the same stage of the game as you, I think you will also find it is HIGHLY beneficial to be around those of all different time lines, as well.
By the time you have your WLS I will have celebrated my 15 YEAR Surgiversary, yet I can still remember EXACTLY how I felt, when I was in your shoes. By remaining here, on OH, all these many years, I continue to learn, and be inspired, by newbies, vets, just about everyone!!! Yes, I have also learned what NOT to do :).
I am so excited for you!!!
