Premier Protein-mess with stomach?

I hear great things about Premier Protein but I have issues with milk since surgery. Sometimes it causes stomach upset so I don't need something I can't drink for breakfast because I might have to run to the work bathroom, haha.

How does this do? Is there milk in it?

Thanks everyone!

Yes the label on the chocolate flavor says in bold "CONTAINS MILK".

since having RNY 3.5 year ago I became lactose intolerant at about year 2. I do drink a vanilla premier protein (PP) daily and have no problems oddly even though it does contain milk. You could try buying those "Lactaid" pills and pop one before you drink the PP and see if that helps, you might have become lactose intolerant as well. I am find with hard cheese and yogurt but can't drink regular milk, or soft cheese like brie.

good luck!

Lactaid literally saved me. I became lactose intolerant after my revision surgery. I always have them with me so I can still eat/drink dairy. I'd be lost without it.

I absolutely loved premier protein before surgery, now... not so much. But not just with it, with any protein drinks. They make my stomach feel just bad.

I still use PP in my coffee but more and more I use Syntrax... feels better on my pouch. I love the fuzzy navel, which mixes with water fir a juice-like drink.

I can't drink premier anymore after surgery. I had no problem with it before.

If you use 100% whey isolate it will be lactose free. Syntrax is a great tasting brand...not all their lines are 100% whey isolate, so you need to check. I use a lactose free milk like Fairlife- which has higher protein and lower carbs, or use Silk cashew milk to mix.
