What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Wednesday! Yesterday was a series of disasters for me, so I'm hoping for a nice calm day where I can just focus on the work I planned to do rather than on emergencies. I also woke up with a sore throat. I had no warning, didn't feel sick at all when I went to bed, so I'm hoping its just allergies. To be on the safe side I took an allergy pill, drank an Emergen-C, and am using Zicam!
JBQOTD - Ohhhh, great question. I think the 1920's. I love the time period and it coincides with the time that some of my relatives were first making there way here from Russia. Did anyone ever see the movie Midnight in Paris? This question reminded me of that movie.
My plan:
B - Ground turkey (2.8 oz) .5 tbs of pesto and 1 oz cheese
L - Leftover ribeye (3.1 oz), carrots
D - Brisket, Broccoli
S - Latte with 4 oz fairlife milk; maybe a protein shake, maybe almonds, maybe turkey and cheese, maybe light and fit. I have options today. It will depend on if my maybe cold is actually a cold or allergies . . . what I eat will depend on whether I run after work.
E - If i'm not actually sick, 5 miles in the park and maybe a stretching/foam rolling class at the gym.

girl I just spit my coffee out! so effing funny! well you WIN!! LOL LOL
I am late to the party as usual lately. This morning I had a running date with an old friend who does marathons. I ran into her about a month ago in Walmart...she offered to go out with me...and I finally took her up on it. What I do can barely be called running, but having her with me shaved about 1 1/2 minutes off my pace... Just goes to show you competition helps.
Elliptical machine? The trainer is making me do that, and he gets pleasure seeing me suffer as I have no quad strength...that is the point of course... but I die....
QOTD: Hmmm, Time Travel- True to be with great artists would be awesome....Michaelangelo sculpting the David.... or to see him painting the Sistene Chapel. Yup. Would want to be Michaelangelo's homie....
After running I was starving. Not right away but about an hour later...
B: Latte with fairlife.... My friend made me eat a small banana when we got back to her house after the run...I was hungry so I ate it. Went into MFP
S: Bananas and cream Syntrax and cashew milk
L: 2 hard boiled eggs, mayo, 2 wasa crackers. snow pea pods
S: salad of avocado, cuke tomato with 3oz Trader Joe roasted turkey
S2: fuzzy navel smoothie
D; Pork Loin Carne Asada - 5oz, steamed broccoli
S: Chai Latte
cal: 1392 protein: 150 carb:87 (yup, banana)

yay for running! I love it so much! I prefer to run alone and just listen to music but if a running partner motivates you go for it! keep up the great work!
I personally would not eat a banana, even after a run, I would rather have a tbsp of PB and I am not a huge PB fan, banana might be good for after a run for a non WLS person, but that is strictly my opinion...
I would never have chosen a banana... but I went to her house, of course we visited a little after and she was kind of "You have to eat something" and I caved to peer pressure, and didn't come prepared.... lesson learned...
