Good morning JB! Its cold here, 4C (40F), and I had the back bedroom window open for fresh air last evening and I forgot to close it last night, woke up frozen this morning and could not figure out why lol Anyone else's Spring allergies started already? Mine have and its driving me nuts, runny nose, itchy eyes UGH!
Anyone else looking forward to the long weekend? I know I sure am! My work gives us both Friday and Monday off as Stat holidays. I am thinking of going in on Monday as I need the work time, not sure yet.
QOTD: No desire to go that far back in time. What I would like is to go back to the 1940s-ish. My grandparents were born in 1919 and I would have loved to hang out with them, get to know them as a young couple in love, go dancing with them, meet my grandpa before he got killed in the War.

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
Yesterday was such a nice weather day -- sunny and warm -- that I took a break from work and did an outside walk. I walked through several parks and tried to avoid traffic as much as possible so I could relax a bit. I've also increased my speed to a nice brisk pace. I'm proud of myself that I have been walking almost every day since surgery, which is more than 6 weeks.
Also the scales is down again. 38.4 pounds since my initial visit and 27.4 since surgery!
QOTD: I've had enough health issues in my life that I'm always glad that I wasn't born years ago or I wouldn't have had a chance. I would like to travel without all of the time required, so maybe I could just be "beamed" to Paris or New Zealand for instance.
Breakfast: spinach egg muffin, 1 piece of turkey bacon
Snack: protein shake
Lunch: chicken salad lettuce wrap
Snack: cottage cheese with homemade applesauce
Dinner: leftover swordfish with riced cauliflower
Exercise: short walk on morning break, not sure if I will get another longer walk in or not

good for you for all the walking you are doing! Its just so great for our mental & emotional health and getting some steps in for exercise is a bonus!
Please remember you had a MAJOR surgery 6 weeks ago. You are going to be tired, a lot. I was tired for the first 3 months post op, it was not until month 4 that I really started to feel better, less tired and got the "hang" of all this post op life. Really go easy and rest when you can, this surgery takes time to heal from.
Fantastic on the down 38.4, keep up the great work!
Good morning,
I can barely wait for Spring Break....2 more days of work.
QOTD: I don't really have a desire to travel to any other time period, but I would love to travel to many different places now.
Menu:
m1- protein shake and fair life milk
m2- meat and cheese from a sub
m3- premier protein
m4- remaining meat and cheese from a sub
exercise- I REALLY need to stop being lazy and get up and go to the gym...but since I didn't...I am going to cut the grass when I get home...push mower+ big yard made of a hill = exercise lol

cutting the lawn with a push mower and a big lawn at that is for sure exercise!
And for the record you are not being lazy, you are healing from surgery that you had 2.5 weeks ago! Girl cut yourself some slack! I was tired until 3 months out and didn't start feeling normal until month 4!
Be kind, rest and the exercise will come!!
Thanks for the encouragement. I am actually 6.5 weeks out...and pretty sure I am just being lazy. One week I made it to the gym every weekday and got in 14 mile running plus other exercise and didn't feel tired all week. This week not even getting up and going to the gym at all! But I am just trying to make it thru tomorrow for spring break! ;) I will get back on track soon with my exercise!
