Could use a Male Mentor/Buddy during 100 LB plateau

Hey folks - first the good stuff. I'm 31 years old and I'm 8 months out from my bypass. I was being treated for Type II diabetes and weighed 325 before surgery. I'm really happy I had the bypass as I haven't needed any meds since the day before my surgery. I have dropped 100 pounds, but am aiming for another 25-30, for a final weight somewhere around 195-200 (I'm 5'10").

Now the frustration:

In the last month I've hovered in the same weight range (225) and have had cravings for sweet foods - kind of a new feeling. I'm trying to simplify my eating habits but could use a guy around my age as either an accountability buddy or some kind of mentor since I could use new exercise routines, meal plans, etc that have worked for you! Let me know any please feel free to add some suggestions on snackables, how much exercise you're putting in daily/weekly, etc. Does anyone go with sugar-free candy? What's your carbohydrate intake like?

Thanks for taking a minute to look - Mark

Congrats on your weight loss so far! You are welcome to join the daily menu thread that is posted every morning. You can get ideas of what others are eating and it gives accountability. Everyone will be your buddy . Todays menu thread is posted just a couple of topics down from this one. We all try to post as early as possible.

Check the men forum...

consider someone even older than you to be your mentor.. Ideally pick someone at least 3-5 years post-op...

your accountability buddy - could be someone close to your age...

I'm not male but I just have to ask - why does it need to be a male? Just curious..
