Dear Elizabeth,

I'm so sorry about all the medical stuff you are dealing with! I am SO proud of you for not smoking! You are AMAZING! Way to go!!!

I'm so sorry one of your implants ruptured. I had silicone breast implants many, many years ago that ruptured and had other problems. I finally replaced them with saline ones, which broke several times before I finally gave up and decided just to have them removed. Yes, absolutely, they should replace your ruptured one and cover the surgery, I think. So sorry this happened to you. I was hoping they had made them stronger now days and that it wouldn't happen to you.

you have a lot going on.... and Yes, being healthier and not smoking may not cure all ills, but it certainly helps. I am with you on liking my tummy the way it is...and if I ever needed another surgery ack! that would be sad :(...

At 6 months, I would hope the Doc would cover it. I know in my 'contract' his fee is covered for complications, but it did say I would need to pay OR and anesthesia if it required going back to the OR....

I am sure I missed it along the way...why were you having your liver tested? Curious as my liver enzymes have been 'slightly' elevated for awhile and we are playing a watching game...

Tuesday! Trying to take out some carbs on this menu since it felt high yesterday. But I am not sure what I am doing for dinner, Ill try to stay away from beans, though as I have been eating a lot of them and they are big carb contributors.

I am at 255lbs (35lbs lost in 5 weeks which I am feeling very proud of). At this weight in the past I was trying to get pregnant with my second son. I was disheartened because it was taking longer than I expected. My first son was a surprise while on birth control so I thought it would be instant I guess. My Mid-wife at the time had suggested that I loose 10-15lbs and that it would increase my chances for getting pregnant. It is interesting the way the scale dredges up interesting memories of the past.

good menu Melissa! watch the fruit this early out, our bodies just see it as pure sugar. If you are looking for something sweet or fruit flavoured there is always the sugar free Torani syrups or something like Grape Koolaid powder that is used to flavor water (sugar free of course).

hope the tuna went down okay! I eat tuna every day and love it!

If you did/do skip dinner just make sure you keep your liquids up!! good stats, you are doing really well!

Thanks! A few people have told me to keep away from fruit but my surgeon encourages it so I'm having a hard time deciding if I should cut the blueberries or not because I value the extra natural fiber, but I also don't want unnecessary carbs as a carbaholic in recovery. I'll ditch the blueberries for a bit. Also, the tuna was great! The package is 2.5oz and easy to grab an go for lunch, but I couldn't quite eat all of it yet.

It was great! The same brand makes a curry flavored tuna pack and lemon pepper so I'll be trying those next.

QOTD: I remember various times and weights. The most successful weight loss times during my adult life allowed me to get down to 175 but I never could break that weight.... until now. I did a crash diet my senior year of high school where I was able to get down to 155 before I gained it all back my freshmen year of college. Forget the freshmen 15.. for me it was the freshmen 50+. After that I was basically between 220-260 except for those two times I got down to 175 and stayed there for a short while. So the odd thing is that now my weight is 160.5 and I honestly don't remember being this weight for more than a week or so on the way down and back up right after high school. Craziness
