What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 4/11/17 2:15 am
Good morning! Aaaaand, just like that--it is summer! Friday the high was 40, Saturday the high was 50, Sunday the high was 60, yesterday the high was 70, and today we are up to 80. Gotta love spring in New England--it lasted two days, hahahaha. No complaints from me, though! I love summer!
Grim and I were both so tired after his class and my first day back to work, so we skipped the movie and crashed while watching Sunday's Homeland finale. Does anyone else watch that show? No spoilers, but ugh... the ending to this season's show was SO unsatisfying and unsettling.
QOTD: Yesterday there was a chat in the menu thread about remembering key weights at key times in your life--like how much you weighed in High School or on your wedding day. I liked to stay sort of blissfully unaware so I don't remember many pre-op weights, but I do remember getting a TON of praise as a teen when I got down to 110lbs and then as an adult when I got down to 140, but both times I starved myself to get to those weights, so it was unsustainable :(
20 months post op / 120lbs today (WTF!?!?!) / maintenance diet
B: Fit Frappe Mocha Coffee & 1 HB Egg with bagel spice & 1 cheddar cheese stick
S: Greek Yogurt with 1/4 c high protein granola
L: 3 Turkey Meatballs
S: Pizza Veggie Burger (I think I am obsessed with these--from Trader Joe's!)
D: Steak on the grill
Vitamins: Patches (D3, & Multi & Iron)
Exercise: 1 hour elliptical and a walk in the sunshine at lunch :)
Morning!
qotd: I have a few. 267 was a stable weight for me for a while in my 20s( and prob teens).232 in 2003, was my lowest adult weight when I was living in Bosnia and doing weigh****chers (it was actually while living with the military and realizing the cafeteria served me the same portion as a giant muscly soldier that I twigged to the fact that Just maybe my eating was out of whack hahaha)
290 when I weighed my self shortly after meeting my Now husband in 2006. 320 when we got married in 2012. 378 was my official starting weight in 2016, but I know it wasn't my highest. I dieted for a while before I even got on a scale.
350, when my weight was low enough to register on the Smart scale my husband bought me. And since surgery it's all a bit of a blur!
menu:
B: premiere protein shake
L: leftover sausage and peppers
S: leftover steak
S2:a few peppers and hummus
take care everyone!

That is so horrible! I am so sorry. I will keep your Mom and entire family in my prayers and thoughts. My husband's perilous health in Oct. 2014 was due to his Chron's and rupture, so I understand how serious this is. {{{{{hugs and prayers!}}}}
