You might want to try chicken thighs instead. I still can't eat breast meat.

Good morning guys!

JB I'm glad to see your parents are improving! I'm always a mess when my mom gets sick...especially since she's 12+ hours away.

My kiddo is on spring break starting today - so we're having a relaxing morning and my plan for the day is to pick up some groceries, get some sculpting done...and spend a couple hours studying/practicing the things I'm learning in my online class.

QOTD: I'm right between the band-removal and RNY now...and this time has definitely been different. I've engaged in a LOT more support tools: therapy, OH, etc. I find myself wishing we had a closer in-person support group - both groups that my program offers are given in the late evening about an hour from home.

Menu:

B: Coffee w/FF creamer + protein shake

S: Hardboiled eggs

L: Leftover steak, mystery veggie (not sure what I have in the freezer)

S: TBD

D: TBD

Have a great day all!

Good morning! Glad to hear your parents are improving JB. Experimenting this week...I spent a couple of hours yesterday preparing my food for the week. With a couple of exceptions (like Easter!) all my food is prepared and portioned and calories and macros all figured out and ready to go into MFP.

QOTD- gosh, I'm not sure. I'm only 7 months out and feel like I'm still figuring this all out. I'm interested in reading others replies!

B- Veggie bacon egg scramble stuff

L- turkey/cheese/veggies/ranch on a low carb wrap

S- This weird pineapple carrot "cake" in a mug thing I am trying a recipe for, I have my doubts about these sorts of recipes but...

D- Beef and broccoli stir fry

S- sugar free jello with berries

I'd tell myself that I would get through those first few hard weeks and that life would return to a (new) normal. I'd make sure I understood how much of an emotional toll the surgery can take at first and assure myself that was not going insane (mostly).

Rode my motorcycle to work today! Whoop! 61 degrees when I woke up this morning and a high of 72 today. It's a bummer to be at work and a bummer that my office is a cave in the middle of a concrete building. I plan to get out and walk on lunch break for sure though.

12 weeks post op & 179.8lbs this morning (Heeeelllooo, 170's! Haven't seen you since high school!)

B: Siggi's Blueberry & Babybel Cheese

L: Deli Turkey spread with Laughing Cow and Cabot Cheese square

D: Cube Steak (for real this time, we've been meaning to cook this for 3 days!).

S: Premier Protein and Jerky

E: 3 mile walk on lunch break and working with my trainer tonight

This is the last bracket I remember! The next weight memory I have was stepping on the scale at age 13 at 168lbs. I was 5'1" tall at the time and I'm 5'7" tall now so I'm going to love the 160's more I think!

JB, I forgot to mention in my previous post, but I'm glad you're getting back to something resembling a normal life today! I'm so glad to hear that things are looking better with your parents!!!

QOTD part 2: I think I've been answering these too fast because I like to post before the gym. I was going it alone during my whole presurgical period and I pretty much didn't know if it would happen at all until I finished my 90 days nutritional counseling required by my insurance. So I got approved 2 weeks before my surgery date. I was convinced they were going to deny me because my BMI had been below 40 in the past 2 years and I had no comorbidities. So.... long story short, I would advise myself to get on the forums sooner to talk to people about what I was going through!
