Good morning everyone! Thanks for all of your kind words and wishes for my family--both parents continue to improve :) We are hopeful that Dad will be discharged from the hospital and moved to a rehab facility for a few weeks where he can get a few hours a day of PT & OT.

I am back to work today, and OMG I have so much to catch up on!!!! I have thousands of unread emails and today will probably spend most of the day catching up on that. But today the weather will be 70(!) so I hope to get out for a nice long walk at lunch to clear my head and move. Grim is taking a class down the street from my office all week, so maybe I can stop over and see him!

Tonight after work we are going to visit Mom, and then going to an old movie theater near her house to see All About Eve. Feels like a normal day again, which is nice...

QOTD: What words wisdom would you give your pre-op self? Since I was a revision from the band, I felt like I got a second try and really could give myself some advice! This second time around I was laser focused on using the first year to follow all the rules. I also used every resource for support groups this time around. I went to a lot of in-person support groups and, of course, reactivated my OH account!

Good morning!

I hope you had a good weekend. My only day off was yesterday and I spent most of it prepping for my move. I found a lot of clothes I forgot I had... some of them I stopped wearing because they were too small. And now they're too big! Well, those are gone now. Took them to goodwill where I found a couple of nice, solid wood, sturdy end tables for three dollars each!!! They're a little scratched, but they're in way better shape than whatever cheapo ones I would have bought would be in after a couple months.

QOTD: I don't feel like I have much wisdom yet...

Today is telework, laundry, and a few errands.

I figured out how to set up MFP with my ACTUAL calorie and macronutrient goals. This is helpful for my planning stage! I've been using it with the crazy high carb default setting this whole time! I didn't think it would let me set the calories so low because it reprimanded me for eating too little the other day when I tried to complete my daily food log.

Plan:
Breakfast: coffee with premier protein
Snack: protein apple cinnamon cake toasted with butter.
Lunch: broccoli casserole and Morningstar steak strips
Snack: Greek yogurt with protein powder and sugar free pudding mix. I put pistachio in MFP but I may pick another flavor. I went nuts at the store the other day and bought them all. Lemon?! Maybe!
Dinner: artichoke Florentine Bites & one babybel (my last one!!!)

Thanks for all the menu ideas, guys! Those babybels are a carb free protein powerhouse!!!

Exercise: intervals!!!

I love the pistachio! The lemon is really good with berries on top.

Mmmm you were right about the berries with lemon. I added a couple blueberries. I was gonna do 1/4 cup but that was gonna put me over goal for carbs, so I scaled back to 2 tbs.

Jello. I definitely don't see it everywhere, but our big, airplane-hanger-size grocery store in town has it. Love it as a dessert! (mixed with plain Greek yogurt)

Yes! Some stores have it some don't. I went to Walmart the other day and they had ALL the flavors I know of: chocolate, vanilla, cheesecake, butterscotch, pistachio, lemon, banana cream...

Glad everyone is getting better JB! Parents being sick is so stressful.

Support groups ( my support group gets together twice a month and I couldn't get through all of this without them) and coming on here is the best advice I could give myself or others, both have helped me tremendously!

Good morning! Happy Monday.

I think the best advice would be to stay plugged in here and stay away from sugar. Sugar in all its forms has the tendency to derail me periodically. Of course everyone tells you to stay away from sugar but maybe if I had known myself what an addiction it truly is I would've listened to myself haha.

B- Irish tea w/fairlife milk and Greek yogurt

L- tuna with mayo on romaine, pickles

D-1/3 of an order of chicken fajitas (no tortillas) and 10 chips with salsa

S- ham and cheese roll up with grape tomatoes

cals are under 800 and protein is 73.
