Two Year Update - Surgiversary!

Hello, fellow losers! I just had my two year surgiversary yesterday and I had to stop in and express thanks.

I'm grateful every day for the RNY tool. We all have to work hard, every day, for the rest of our lives... but this tool has literally enabled me to change my life. I've gone from a tight size 26W (those black pants did not zip up all the way nor did they button at the waist) to a size 8. More importantly I've gone from not being able to walk more than 20 - 25 yards to hiking in Colorado, biking, rafting, golfing... you name it! My old knees may be creaky (and in need of replacement) but I have a whole new, active, healthy lifestyle now.

I've been maintaining -- learning to maintain -- for just over 13 months. As hard as losing all the excess weight was, this is the real work!! I've had a few pounds of regain and returned here to reset my priorities and find my way back to "center." It's a long road and I'll never be done, but I am grateful to be on my way.

So, let me express my thanks, again, to the WLS veterans on this site for paying it forward and supporting me, and offering guidance to newbies such as myself. I am also so grateful to all of you on OH. I look forward to meeting you in person at some future event but until then - I will see you around the boards!

Here's a montage of photos before/immediately after surgery... and a few from the past few weeks.

Congratulations! You have done an incredible job!

I'm still a newbie at only 6 months out and I don't know where I would be without the great advice of all the incredibly knowledgeable veterans here on the boards! I have a super long way to go and like you I will never be done!
