This is fun! You do look like Liz Taylor! It's the big eyes, and the little heart shaped mouth.

QOTD- I have only been told one celebrity, and it was a long time ago, but I heard it from three or four people. My hair was lighter then, so that might have helped the comparison. But they said I looked like Sami from Days of Our Lives. I didn't' even know who that was, lol. I had to look it up. I can see some resemblance I guess, though she has aged better than me. The resemblance was stronger when I was younger for sure. I wish I had easy access to a younger picture of me to compare, but I don't really. I'll come back on and edit this to post a picture of her. I think it's the big blue eyes and big forehead. And she was, erm, chunkier back then, and I was merely chunky at the time too. She has slimmed down. I went another direction.

7 months post op?no good meal planning this week, again. I think I am going to try something else this weekend. Winging it is not working for me anymore as I can no longer trust my mere appetite, or lack of, to keep me on track necessarily, and my weight loss is moving along very slowly now. I have laid in some supplies and tomorrow I am going to prep and package a bunch of meals and snacks for the coming week. Then I will staple threatening post its onto all of them so my family leaves them alone. This will help me track better too, because it is so hard for me to track on the fly. I can put everything into MFP on the weekend and have it ready to add each day. Anyway,,,other than dinner I have no idea what I'm eating today so I'm winging this as I go...

B- a couple of hardboiled eggs, some leftover asparagus, coffee and milk. My kids love hard boiled eggs so I need to make a mess of them anyway.

L- Um?yeah. Hmm. Tuna? I think I have some tuna, if my tuna loving kid hasn't snarked it all. I forgot to get more yesterday. Hopefully there is a can kicking around. If not, maybe some cheese and almonds instead. And some salad.

Snack- hot tea, cheese and almonds if I didn't eat them for lunch

Dinner- arroz rojo, I have a tilapia in the freezer so I can go light on the arroz.

Before my surgery, when I weighed 168 lbs., people used to say I looked like Bett Midler all the time. Now she is thinner and I am fatter and not so much resemblance.

Even though my picture is of Supergirl, I don't look anything like her except for the blond hair and blue eyes. I use that picture because I haven't told anyone I had the RNY. The reason I use the picture is because I view her as "skinny girl" and I am trying to brainwash myself not to have a fat girl self image.

I even go to a family doctor over 20 miles from my house so that the office staff won't know me. My eye doctor was closer and a distant cousin worked in medical records. One day she came up to me in the waiting room after reading my chart and was surprised how fat I was since my surgery. I was supposed to have lunch with my sister and her the following week. I cancelled it and haven't socialized with her since.

I had foot surgery in a closer hospital last June and one of my doctors was a friend of mine. I trust him, but I am pretty sure that a nurse friend in the hospital knows of my RNY now. It is so embarrassing being a RNY failure. Now I know it is not my fault but people are so quick to criticize.

I am not "out" about my surgery either with anyone except my parents and BFF (and who ever she has told...I love her, but she sucks at secret keeping!).

I don't know your story about gaining after RNY. Have you tried going lower carb? Personally I know that I maintain with carbs around 40-50, gain if they are any higher, and need to get them closer to 25 to lose.

I know I mentioned this other other day when saw your menu, but I know I would not be successful with that amount of carbs and fruit sugars on your menu. Plus I think I would be hungry if I didn't increase dense protein. Just my 2 cents!

Congrats on doing triathlons! Wow! I am just starting to train for my first half marathon and I am in awe of those who can do more.

I was going to say the same thing - carb count looks pretty high, and if you're one of those who's sensitive to them, that could be an issue...

JB, glad to hear that you're dad was feeling better and I hope things continue to improve for you and your family. Life sure does like to pile it on us sometimes doesn't it??

I had no answer for who my celebrity doppelganger would be so I tried the site that merryrose used and it gave me Jennifer Morrison. I don't see it....but it's not Roseanne so I'll take it. lol

QOTD I had to think about this one for awhile which is kinda sad and I should really do something about that. No trips planned or anything like that but my cousin in BC texted me yesterday that she and her husband will be here in May (without their kids so I'm less excited lol) and I always look forward to August when we have our golf tournament because my aunt, also in BC, will be here and I miss her like crazy so I really look forward to that. The date July 9th has been in my head a lot lately. It's the day I started taking this WLS thing seriously, as in my desire to lose weight was finally matched by my efforts. I'm curious to see where I'll end up by then.

Good morning! I'm sorry to hear that your mom is sick too, that has got to be tough. Hang in there and be sure to take care of yourself. Never in my life have I been told I look like a celebrity! JB - you really do look like ET!!

It's a cold a rainy day here. It's supposed to rain all day and night. Bummer because I was really looking forward hiking this weekend and now the trails will be too saturated and muddy. I'm going to swim tonight in the rain, should be interesting.

QOTD - The next thing on the calendar I am looking forward to is going to San Diego right after Easter. My BF has a hearing there for work and it's also where he received his undergrad. He is so excited to show me around. I've never been, can't wait! Next on the calendar would be Disneyland in May and Sacramento and Tahoe in September.
