GI Problems

I am 10 years out from Roux en Y surgery. I am trying to lose some regain as well as finish. I had my gall bladder out 25 years ago. A month ago I had something that hurt as badly as a gallon bladder attack. I went to Dr. Labs showed pancreas enzymes slightly elevated. Full liver panel only showed slightly elevated bilirubin. Ultrasound showed nothing. Scope with ultrasound showed nothing. I really thought I may have a stone in common bile duct. No evidence but still having pain upper right side and upper right back. Dr prescribed lyrica for nerve pain. It does nothing for pain. Gas and bloating. Called Dr office again asking about ct scan. They said it won't show any more than ultrasound but they would order it if it made me feel better. Discouraged. Haven't heard back...Maybe they are fighting with insurance company. Wondering if I should go back to hospital where I had my surgery. My doctor is gone but they still have a program. Has anyone else this far out had anything similar? Thanks.

My first thought was an ulcer, but the stomach lies on the left, unless you have situs inversus. You might want to consult a bariatrcian.

This is by NO means a medical opinion!!

The pancreatic and CBD are VERY close, it is not impossible for you to have had a stone and passed it. The slight elevation in labs could be part of that. Did you have an ERCP with the scope?? What about WBC?? If you did pass a stone, the pain should be calming down by now, though.

Feel better soon!!

Have kidney stones been ruled out? Suckers can mimic all kinds of other attacks, and hurt as bad as labor pains
