Good morning! So sorry to hear about your dad. Please keep us posted as you can. Swinging chickens surround you all.

QOTD: My MiL is retired after working in the printing industry for over 30 years. My FiL passed away a few years ago and he was a printing equipment broker. My parents are not part of my life so that's all I got!

So today is the first of four vacation days. Sipping my Starbucks while my car gets an oil change.

Time since surgery: 2 yrs 7 months

B: latte, eggbeaters, turkey sausage links, and 1/2 an orange

L: TJ chicken sausage link and carrots

S: latte, buddig beef, and yogurt

D: spaghetti squash casserole and SF Jello with cool-whip

No totals yet since I haven't plugged it into MFP but it'll be around 1000c/100p/85c/30f

Exercise: Jogged on the treadmill for an hour (right at 6 miles) since my hamstring was feeling better or so I thought... now it's all tight and hurting again- I think I'll have to decide I can't run until after my recovery from PS next week. I also did 1/2 hour on the elliptical.

W/V on track.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning JB and gang. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I'm saying prayers for a quick and easy recovery and that they figure out what the hell is going on. Stay strong.

Speaking of staying strong, I'm starting to crumble under pressure. I'm trying really hard to keep my **** together, but I'm finding it harder and harder every day to stay positive and on track. I had tuesday and wednesday off of work. I took tuesday off to spend time with my kids because this week is spring break, and then yesterday I took my husband to the two week follow up with the surgeon *****paired his achilles. Tuesday, because I slept in and was off my schedule, I completely forgot to take any meds in the morning and by the afternoon was feeling really, really down. I'm only taking Prozac, Vyvanse and Doxycycline regularly (outside of my vitamin patches, dry D3 and B12). So, I decided to take them at around 4pm when I realized. I felt a little better in the evening, but overall just had a down and ****ty kind of day. Yesterday the appointment went well. They switched out his cast and readjusted his foot position to allow him to attempt to walk on it, with a boot, his pain level allowing. He couldn't attempt it yesterday because he had to wait for the cast to cure completely, but this evening I think he's going to try to put some weight on it and see how it feels. He's healing nicely, and everything is looking good. Tuesday's food was a complete bust. I ate off plan, really really off any plan that I have ever had. There were carbs flying around my house like crazy. I got my act together a bit yesterday, and I stuck with the A Pound of Cure plan, mostly, kinda. I didn't actually weigh out a pound of veggies, but I had 2 eggs and ham for breakfast, a lettuce wrapped burger and side salad no dressing for lunch and then ham and great northern beans with veggies for dinner. No real snacking because I was running around most of the day.

JBQOTD: My father worked at Ford Motor Company as a welder when I was a kid, my mom was a stay at home mom. When I was 13 there was a big incident and my mother divorced my father and he went to prison for 10 years. He was convicted of sexually abusing me. My mom was forced to work minimum wage jobs. She managed to keep the mortgage paid working food service. It helped that both my older brother and I quit school at 15 and got full time jobs. I was paying my mother $100 a month rent when I was 16 years old. The only thing that she provided for us was shelter and a little bit of food. We bought all of our own clothing and stuff for ourselves. We did get stuff for christmas, etc. I have no relationship with my father, but I do know that he worked in small factories or machine shops after he was released from prison in 1996. At some point he lost his hand in a press at his job and went on disability. My mother worked in shipping and receiving for years and finally had to stop working last year when she was diagnosed with Kidney disease and COPD and had to have a kidney removed. She is 63 and currently considering taking early social security. My step-dad is retired and gets social security but still drives a school bus full time. He'll be 70 this year and I think he's going to want to retire soon.

20 months since surgery

B: 2 eggs, ham, onion, and green peppers. Coffee with SF coffeemate

L: We are having an opening day celebration, so there will be chili dogs and other ball park type foods for lunch today. I will eat a dog with chili, no bun and probably some fresh fruit. It won't be healthy, but it won't be horrible either.

D: chicken sausage and roasted zucchini.

S: Fresh fruit (strawberries and grapes)

No totals yet. The new president of our department is in the building, as well as the vice president, so I don't/won't have much time. I've been working on typing this response up since I got here 3 hours ago and I'm just now getting a chance to post. Stay happy and healhty everyone.

BTW, my scale is sticking around the same. I was at 161.2 on Tuesday morning and wednesday I was up to 162. This morning I was at 163.2, but I'm totally blaming it on all of the ham I had yesterday. So much salt.

You can do it!!! Remember it doesn't have to be all or nothing! You can still make healthy choices even when you've gotten off track or when you're not following your exact plan! And feel good about every good choice you're making.

With everything you have gone through in your life, you must be a very strong woman. Glad to hear your husband is mending. I think the important thing when you go off plan is just to refocus and move forward making better choice. We all have a bad food day once in awhile.

You're getting through this ... he has the new cast, and soon he'll be able to hobble around a bit... then he'll be even more mobile, and hopefully soon your life will calm just a bit!
