Good morning!! I've been sleeping like a baby lately. I usually wake up several times a night and at least check the time, happy to see I have hours to sleep still. Last night I didn't wake at all until the alarm this morning. I was really disappointed that it was time to get up and I didn't have the usual few more hours.... I may have slept really well but BF didn't sleep at all :( poor guy. I would hate to have insomnia, it really messes with him and makes him miserable.

QOTD - I would say I am in between laid back and busy. Lately, I've been more busy. I've had more energy since losing weight and now working out is giving me more energy as well. I love getting things done and I love that I can do things I was unable to before. At the same time, I cannot function without my down time. I need it to restore.

Good morning JB! Sorry you're feeling run down mid week - maybe embrace some serious downtime tonight! While you upload photos of the lobster grilled cheese... edited to add that today has been my toughest day energy wise. I'm at work, but planning to leave early and hit the sheets at like 8pm!

QOTD- I've always been laid back, but in 2004 we gave up watching TV (not like a religion, still had it for watching videos and sporting events). I suddenly had ALL THIS TIME available! I have rediscovered my love of reading, taken more time to prepare meals, and generally I feel better during my "down time". I'm now living in an apt with a friend and she tends to keep the TV on all evening. After watching shows which I enjoy at the time, I tend to feel like I was ROBBED of my free time.

7 days post-op / 195.6 lbs / pureed food stage!

Yesterday I ended up making a meal that was supposed to be shrimp Alfredo over zoodles. I used a jar of pre-made fettuccine sauce, and added an equal amount of plain regular yogurt. Then because it tasted a little too yogurty, I added more cheese and Italian herbs and salt. I topped the zoodles (zucchini strips) with some roasted broccoli, onions, and Brussels sprouts then added shrimp on top and topped it with some finely shredded Parmesan cheese (which melted nicely presentation wise). It DID NOT LOOK GOOD but it was tasty! Of course I had to puree mine :(

I tend to be a busy person, but around the time the kids go to bed I do shut down. I'm also good at shutting down and reading a good book! I need to keep my brain occupied though.

Now that it's April I need to come up with a mental game plan for what I'll call "Birthday Season". This weekend is the combined party for my two daughters (actual birthday's the 16th and 23rd) and my mine is the 23rd is as well. Then I have a niece's on the 28th.

Right now the game plan is to not eat cake and make deviled eggs and greek yogurt dip for snacks. I'd really rather not have cake this year and save it for next year when I'm (hopefully) at goal! But, that does not stop me from having to buy and bake the cake anyway

11 weeks post op & 183.2lbs this morning (finally a bit of a drop!).

Good afternoon, I've been terrible about posting so I'm going to commit to daily menu thread participation this month.

QOTD: I am a laid back person who needs downtime. I rarely get bored with quiet activities and could spend an entire week cooped up in the house and not get cabin fever.

B: EASadvantage shake

L: 2.5 ounce crack chicken, 1/4 cup roasted cauliflower

D: 2.5 oz ground turkey with taco seasoning, shredded cheese, salsa

Hello Everyone,

QOTD: I eb and flow back and forth from being constantly busy to being laid back. For example it's a crazy busy week for me. Teaching every day, rehearsal in Boston Monday night, Concert at school on Tuesday and Thursday night, field trip with students to Bristol, CT to see a musical tonight night and then I'm leaving Friday morning through Sunday night taking HS choir to NYC over the weekend for a festival. Therefore, next week will be a major laid back week.

B: decaf and protein hot chocolate, string cheese

L: 3.5 oz pork chop

S: Prosciutto and string cheese.

D: Not sure. We are stopping for the kids to get food on the way to the show. Hoping we come across a Wendy's so that I can get bunless chicken breast. Otherwise I'm armed with babybel and chomps.
