Morning guys!

I've been so busy lately that I've been more of a lurker than a poster, but I'm still here! I heard back from my surgeon's office today and we are going to move ahead with the plan for a June RNY....I'm healing up nicely from my band removal...yay! I should hopefully hear from the scheduler sometime this week so we can get it on the books! Over the weekend I made a momentous decision....a career shift. See before I had my son I worked in IT....and while it was something I'm good at, it wasn't something I truly enjoyed. After I left my job to stay home and raise him I started my little art business and for the first time in my life I was actually enjoying what I did....having a creative outlet is HUGE for me when it comes to stress and life in general. This year my son starts kindergarten and I had been ruminating on what to do....do I go back to what I was doing before, or do I continue with my little art business, etc. I'd prefer doing something that makes a more steady income....so after much hemming and hawwing and talking it over with the hubby I decided to go back to school. I'll be doing everything online, but essentially I'm going to take my love for art and apply it to my penchant for computer stuff...so I'll be focused on learning more digital art/character-creation for things like movies/games etc. I started my first course this week and I'm loving it thus far...it's part of why I'm so busy! I was hesitant at first...I'm turning 40 this year, do I really want to try and shift paths, and then my mom reminded me that my grandfather went back to school in his 40s and got his PhD in his 70s.

QOTD: After that paragraph above you know I'm one of those people that likes to stay busy....I can relax but even when relaxing I'm 'doing' something....or thinking about doing something. That's part of why I was going nuts the week after my band-removal because I was forced to be pretty inactive and it was HARDER than I thought it would be!

Menu:

Braces getting tightened today so.....shakes and mush mush mush!

Have a great day guys!

Kelsey

Dinner: rotisserie chicken and green beans

S: not sure

Good morning - I have to say I like the new nickname - Grimberry! Has a great ring to it! I have to go back to Montreal this afternoon, will eat my chef salad before I go!

QOTD - I am laid back but busy. I have to be doing something, anything. I do not sit down unless it is dinner time! LOL. I putter around the garage, yard, house and just try to keep moving. I think that it keeps me from munching most of the time.

B - egg muffin cup with ham

S - Toasted Marshmallow greek yogurt

L - Ham chef salad with olive garden dressing

S - protein bar prior to gym

D - Chicken Breast ??

Exercise - 90 minute cardio session at gym as the weather is nasty

** Need ideas as to how to cook my chicken breast tonight, please share your favorite recipe!

Sometimes I will dice the chicken and toss it in a ziploc bag filled with all kinds of spicy seasoning and just bake it in the oven in a dish coated with olive oil. For me it almost winds up tasting like dry-rub boneless chicken I get when we have gone out for wings.
