Yup, I think it's going to drag out much, much longer. I think she did know it was coming, but I also know she is having issues with her health, so we will see where we are come 6 weeks!

Thanks. But maybe I should clarify....I jog slowly and call it running lol! If I only run a mile I can do it in about 11ish minutes, but if I say run 4 miles then I do it in about 14.5 mins per mile. So it is slow but I can tell I am progressing. I used to hurt in my knees, shins, and ankles my entire run....since surgery I have zero pain while running....that weight made a huge difference!

The last time I seriously tried to run I weighed about 130 lbs and one lap away from the mile, I was LITERALLY PASSED BY A WOMAN WITH A WALKER.

When I finally was able to jog, so slowly a mobility challenged person could pass me, the ROTC group that worked out in the field house at the same time all cheered! It was sad/sweet because while I'm sure they were used to seeing me walk/jog three days a week, I couldn't believe they were aware enough to keep track of my laps!

Still faster than me! I am about a 14 or 15 minute mile if I go beyond one, but I try to make myself feel better by reminding myself that I am 4'10"!

I had a great birthday and had a great long walk to celebrate. We also went out to eat, my first time post-op for something other than eggs, and I had a wonderful crab cake at my favorite restaurant. That was alot of fun!

QOTD: I can't say that I am laid back that's for sure, but I'm also not as busy as I used to be. I used to have all of these lists of things I needed to achieve and I've given that sort of thing up.

I hope that I will soon have a new burst of energy to accomplish things though. I've been rather tired since surgery but I'm starting to come out of it. It is gardening season and that means lots of things to do outside that need energy.

Also in good news, the scale is moving more and I'm down another pound. I hate stalls!

Breakfast: Spinach feta egg muffin, turkey bacon

Snack: protein shake

Lunch: Chicken tikka masala and riced cauliflower

Snack: cottage cheese

Dinner: Lemon chicken and zoodles

Exercise: 1 mile walk at morning break, 30 minutes on the treadmill

Morning! Dh's surgery is this morning and I'm waiting for him to be ready to go. I think I am more nervous than he is, lol! This is just a hernia repair, day surgery. But it's his first ever surgery, I expected more nerves, especially since he is a worrier by nature.

QOTD- I am laid back. My mom says, "If you were anymore laid back you'd be in a coma." That's exaggerating, a tad. Really what I do is have periods of frenzied hyperactivity in which I burn myself out for a while. But as far as fussing and worrying and that sort of thing, I'm laid back. Except for today. :)

B- coffee right now. I have a couple baggies of nuts in my bag for later while I'm waiting at the hospital bar. A protein bar would be better. I guess I should keep a box in the house for these sorts of things.

L- I should be home by lunch time. Leftovers from dinner last night. If you have a Copelands near you (I have no idea how wide-spread they are, but I suspect it may be regional), they have some very bariatric friendly options. Quite a few protein/veg plates, and a small selection of "small plates", plates with little portions. We ordered two appetizers (happy hour, they were half off)- stuffed mushrooms and some sort of buffalo chicken wrap. And I ordered a small plate of crab stuffed shrimp. I ate some of each appetizer. My small plate had just three stuffed shrimp on it, but I was so full from the appetizers that I ate one and brought the other two home for lunch, lol. Also have another buffalo wrap thingie.

T- Not sure. I have a fridge full of leftovers that need to be eaten, so something out of there.

D- Chicken tortilla soup is on the menu, with chips and guac on the side. No chips for me, but I'm making enough guac to have on my eggs in the morning.
