Good morning, Pouchies! It's Hump Day, again... I am SO TIRED today! How is it only Wednesday? It definitely feels more like a Thursday, right? Plus it is pouring. Again. So the commute is going to be another rough one. I saw on the news this morning that there has been more than 4 inches of rain in the last 3 days, and some neighborhoods are completely flooded. Always crazy to see people taking canoes to their houses!

QOTD: Are you laid back or do you always keep yourself busy with something? I have gotten waaaaay more relaxed this year, which is nice! It took almost 43 years, but I am starting to really value my down time :) I used to bring a lot more work home with me, and I also always had multiple projects going on that kept me doing lots of things at once. I am still a busy person, but I have finally learned how to just stop and do "nothing" for a few hours before bed.

Good morning,

JB, you and me both with the sooo tired thing. I'm feeling groggy. According to my Fitbit I nearly got 8 hours sleep! I completely crashed yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure why. Related to my diet, exercise, surgery combo? I was so exhausted at work I decided extreme measures were called for and I ate my emergency protein bar. That didn't help at all. Made me nauseous and lightheaded and a little sweaty. Which is weird because I had tested this one before and I didn't feel that way. So I ended up going home early and taking a nap.

I ran a training at work yesterday morning (pre-crash) that went very well (except for the one guy who thinks he should have my job who looked angry and impatient the whole time). Most people told me it will make it easier to do their jobs. Yay!

Today I work from home, get my nails done, and maybe do a few errands.

QOTD: I'm usually more laid back. I like my unstructured free time. My evenings and weekends have changed drastically since I changed careers 6 years ago. I used to teach high school and I completely burned myself out working CONSTANTLY. I stayed late every day and brought home work every night and weekend. Now I'm a legal assistant with paid overtime and a benefit called "credit time" where I can work a couple hours one day, and use those as time off another day. (That's usually what I'm using if I say I left work early. Like yesterday). This has completely changed my life. I don't feel guilty doing things I like in my free time anymore instead of working. I HAVE free time. Of course right now I'm in a packing frenzy, but this isn't work related...

Today's plan:
Breakfast: coffee w/ 2 oz premier protein
Snack: eggface protein banana cake, toasted with 1 tsp butter; cottage cheese
Lunch: eggface cauliflower fried "rice
Snack: Greek yogurt with protein powder and artic zero
Dinner: scrambled eggs with 2 tsp parm, 2 tsp pesto, 2 tbs ricotta (eggface recipe)

Exercise: day off from gym

Totals
Calories 828; carbs 36; protein 83

EDIT: JB, I want to know more about that veggie pizza burger!

Morning pouch pals! Today I'm taking my car (vroom vroom) to the auto body shop to get repaired. They ordered the bumper and painted it before hand- so I only have to wait while they install it. I'll go into work after.

Yesterday I took measurements and noticed they all went up just shy of a 1/2". I compared my previous measurements to where my weight was then and now and my weight has been basically the same give or take 2#. I work out a lot so I'd like to assume I built more muscle... but it could be I lost it too. Made me decide I want body fat scale-- I know they can be off- but I don't be science accuracy, Just a ball park- so ready- set-- suggest your favorite scale that analyzes body fat etc.

qotd: I'm laid back-- verrrry laid back. It takes a lot to rattle my feathers. And I'm perfectly content doing nothing. and I'm definitely not a people pleaser-- I give my all- but I'm not licking anyone's boots!

23 months out- no weight yet today- 195 has been my mainstay though

m1: egg beaters turkey sausage crumbles 1/2c each

m2: lunch meat roll up, 3oz-- cashews

m3: chicken chunks

m4: ?? I cooked 3 days in a row-- I deserve a break!

Omron Body Composition Monitor with Scale - 7 Fitness Indicators & 90-Day Memory

That's the name/description from Amazon. I bought mine back in 2010, and it's on sale now for 65 ish.

Here is what I like best about it. The device allows four people to use it, of course anyone can use it for their weight. It keeps a memory which is nice, and you can scroll back through the various measurements to see trends. I've used it every day since I got home from the hospital. To get the BEST reading, it should be first thing in the morning after use the bathroom (if you need to). Before drinking or eating. It's thrown off by contents of your digestive track so keep that in mind when you see fluctuations and don't take them too seriously. Yesterday I saw that my muscle mass went down for the first time, so I'm assuming I need to be more diligent on protein and enforcing that 30 min no liquids rule.

What I don't like about it is that you actually need to use the owners manual to get it to work well. The other issue is that it's not a connected device so it won't just report to my phone. How 1999!!!

Hope this helps!

Good morning everyone! Hubby and I are celebrating 21 years of marriage today and we were dating for 2 years before that. So we've been together for more than half my life. We've had our ups and downs as all marriages do but so happy to have him as my partner.

QOTD: At work I'm a busy person. At home I'm more laid back. I have a long commute so I prefer to relax in the evenings, doing just the chores that need to get done. Charles does most of the laundry but I fold and put away on a daily basis and cook dinner. The kids clean up from dinner. The other household chores are saved for the weekend.

Menu:

B: Protein Shake with regular milk as I ran out of the Natrel Milk. Will have to get some tonight.

L: Butter Chicken

D: I'm not sure. We have plans tonight so we're not celebrating our anniversary but no clue what's on the menu.

235 on the scale today- this has been the best week I've had since probably my 2nd week post op. So exciting.

Have a great day everyone.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
