What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers??
After working in an office for the past 6 years, my impression is that if she was passed over and subsequently dismissed, there have been problems for a while and this was just the culmination of them.
You can't take responsibility for other people's emotional reactions, ESPECIALLY when they didn't result from any direct action on your part. Your job will probably be a lot easier not working with a resentful person who is known to have emotional outbursts.
I'm currently senior to someone in my office who felt entitled to the job I currently hold. They are childish, petulant, and refuse to take any direction from me. Every day is a minefield trying to get my job done while trying not to accidentally set them off....

What a day yesterday, we went car shopping, took us all day but we finally bought one. Have to pick it up today. But we had to rush home so I could get ready to go to work, and I had the late shift last night, I was pooped by the end of the day!
We get together with my sister and her family the weekend closes to 4th of July to have a BBQ and swim in the pool, that is always a good time, her son has two little ones that I adore and it is just a great time, we have been doing this since her son and our daughter were babies, and my daughter is turning 30 this year!

In big news, today is my 50th birthday and while I certainly haven't accomplished all that I thought I would (ah the ideals of youth), my health and my life are much better than they were even 3 months ago. That's a significant accomplishment just 5 weeks post-surgery.
I finally broke through my "3-week" stall and I'm down 1.4 pounds! That's 24 pounds post-op!
QOTD: Every Mother's Day I visit my mother and we buy our Spring bedding flowers together instead of buying her a bouquet of cut flowers. It gives us the day together and something to share. Fun for both of us!
Breakfast: Leftover Spinach feta omelet
Snack: Apple Ecstasy protein shake
Lunch: Salmon burger
Snack: cottage cheese, homemade unsweetened applesauce

Happy Happy Birthday!!! Hope you have a great day!!!
I love your Mother's Day ritual! I might see if my mom and I can't do something like that

My relationship with my mother can be strained sometimes, so this is a way that I can show my love for her and have something active to keep us both busy. Fun for me too since I love to garden!
