JB, that talk of adding cheese to things yesterday made me miss adding cheese to things!!! Then I added some unnecessary/delicious cheese to my dinner!! I'd like to think I earned the extra calories 80 in burpees and jumping jacks in interval class, though... hopefully.

I've been in a "stall" for a week and a half but it's over. It wasn't a real stall, though. It's just the time it took the weight on my bathroom scale to catch up to the one at my dr's office. Either way, my weight's down and I'm happy!!

QOTD: nothing comes to mind....

Breakfast: coffee w/ 2 oz premier protein
Snack: half cup cottage cheese
Lunch: Morningstar "steak" strips with 2 tbs marinara and 1/4 cup Italian cheese mix
Snack: Greek yogurt with protein powder and artic zero
Dinner: eggface zucchini bites with pesto/yogurt sauce

Exercise: spin class (posting from bike before lights go off!!)

Totals
Calories: 681
Carbs: 34
Protein: 92

Morning!

Glad opening day was fun! I can't wait for ball season!

So, you know how I mentioned I was offered the position of office manager over someone else ? ( I was there 4 days, she was there 4 years...) anywho, I spent a lot of time reading and learning about working with difficult employees etc, because I knew she wasn't taking it well (I don't think I would either). Turns out I underestimated how bad she took it, and she had a few outbursts with the directors and was sent home with pay. Now the wheels are in motion for her dismissal. I feel terrible for her, because I think we could have been a great team... so now the scramble is on to hire more staff..not exactly easing my way into management is it ? Hahahaha

qotd: kind of. When my husband and I moved into our current home 8 years ago this December, it was a disaster. There was a blizzard, a bus strike, and our movers had to cancel because they couldn't get to us because of the traffic nightmare. What made it worse was on the Sunday (also snowy), we had friends help us with all the boxes, little things, food, clothes etc, and on the Monday, the movers were coming just for the big stuff like furniture. All that to say, part two of the move was delayed over a week, and we were eating takeout for ages. Finally we went out to Swiss chalet for the festive special ( quarter chicken dinner with stuffing and cranberries) It became our thing. So every year, we have a date night where we eat the same thing at the same location. And talk about how we're never moving again hahaha

menu:

B: protein shake

L: rotisserie chicken with avocado and veggies

S: 1/3 cup cottage cheese with raspberries

D: some kind of turkey lettuce cups, not sure what kind of flavouring yet. Open to suggestions!

Have a good one gang!

Edit to change my lunch, because I looked in the fridge hahah!

Haha, that's adorable.

Good luck with that job situation... I had a very similar thing happen in my last job. I was hired for a position and within 2 months was promoted into a newly created position that was supervising my peers who had been there many years longer than me. I should have said no. It was a mess. I hope your situation is better than mine was!

Thanks! Well, the mixed blessing is that instead of managing a team of three, I am currently a one woman show. Which on one hand, is a hella ton of work, but once we staff up, we're working from a clean slate. The new challenge is training people on something I'm just learning too! Never a dull moment!

I think you nailed it when you said you'll eventually have a clean slate to work with. And hopefully they'll respect your position and you can all work together peacefully from that point on.

(in the meantime, try to rise above the drama, and let it pass without taking it too personally... there's a reason they didn't offer her the position. They want you right where they put you, they have faith in you!)
