Calorie Question 9 months out
Yes, I'm gonna be that person that asks. LOL I searched the old threads and see much older answers but was just wondering how many calories ya'll were eating at 9 months. I eat on average 900. Was just wanting to be sure I'm within the "norm" for this stage. Any thoughts?

This was what I did and what worked for me. Every one is different -- and has different goals. I am extremely meticulous at weighing and logging everything (over 1200 days logged in MFP) -- which has helped me to determine what I can and cannot eat now that I am in maintenance. I am 5'5" tall and female.
0-3 months -- focus was on protein -- at least 65 to 70 per day. My calories were always under 500 and my carbs were under 30.
3 to 6 months -- protein 80 or above. Calories under 650 with carbs under 30.
6 to 12 months -- protein 85 or more. Calories under 700 with carbs under 35.
12 months to 2 years -- protein 85 or more. Calories under 800 with carbs under 40.
maintenance (currently at 3 years & 4 months) -- Protein between 70 and 90 -- Calories under 1100 with carbs under 40. Truthfully, I am better off under 1000 calories, as I gain very slowly over 951 -- but I even it out with lighter days vs. 1100 calorie days.
My carbs are usually well below the limit -- averaged 20 or lower in the first year and I average 30/35 or lower now. I count TOTAL and not NET carbs. I do not use low-fat or restrict fats in any way.

You are so welcome --
Just keep in mind, everyone is different. There are people who are successful that can eat more or less -- there isn't just ONE right way. You seem to be doing really well -- so trust yourself and adjust as you need to.
:-)

Yes, I agree. We are all so different. I'm definitely looking forward to other replys and seeing what experience you vets have had at this stage. I'm love this board for that exact reason!! :)

At 7 months I was about 700 calories. In the last month I have increased to about 900, but I'm thinking I need to try to be more like 800. Trial and error I guess. Lol
