Good morning JB and Menu Crew! I will start to post regularly again. For those of you that I was friends with on FB, I am no longer on FB. I may be back at some point.
I had a good weekend, did not consume any alcohol this weekend, but made poor choices for snacks at our Saturday night card game and that seemed to set the tone for Sunday as well. This after I ran 3 miles on the treadmill on Saturday morning so I started very well. I know better and yet I fall into that carb monster trap and carbs impact my health and my weight. I will get it back on course this week. I will be strict and I need to take ownership for the poor choices on Saturday night and ensure I have good options for me in the future. My mistake!

Hey! I'm alive! I had my gallbladder removed last Wednesday. There were no complications but recovery was a little rough. Apparently its the anesthesia that makes me so sick and maybe not just the pain meds. Believe it or not, I feel like this surgery was a little rougher than my WLS. Just because of the nausea and my incisions are a little bigger for some reason. I was hoping they would reuse the old ones but they cut new ones right next to them. Oh well, glad it's all over.
Menu is whatever I can tolerate: Broth/soup & just a couple of crackers. I still can't tolerate solids unless it's tiny bits.
QOTD: My little things added up! Cheese and toppings. I swear everything I used to eat had to have some kid of "grand finale" topping with cheese, gravy, or something creamy and something crunchy like bacon or those fried onions.
