my husband loves looking at houses, too. He used to go to open houses sometimes on Sundays before he started working weekends.

My PA drives me crazy too. She tried to get me to put on weight at my 1 year,2 year and 3 year checkups. Each time I took what she said with a grain of salt and stayed where I was near the bottom end of a normal bmi. With my rheumatoid arthritis and inability to take NSAIDS I know the lower weight to keep my joints comfortable. Her comment was that formerly morbidly obese people never reach a normal bmi,but I beg to differ. I didn't rearrange my insides to still be overweight, folks!

mine didn't say *never*, but she did say it was pretty rare. I read in some article that about 10% of us make it. I've said this before, but I think those 10% must all belong to OH. There seem to be a lot of us around here...

Good morning all! Another lovely day. Headed out to meet my sister at the beach for lunch then to my parents to help organize and pack. They are moving closer to me in a few weeks and I am really thankful they were finally able to make that decision. In the meantime my weekends will be helping them get ready, having a yard sale, then moving and settling into their new place.

QOTD - I had a lot of hobbies as a kid, but not so much any more. As an adult my activities have been somewhat food related and I'm trying to avoid that now! I never realize how much everything revolved around food. So I too am creating non food related hobbies/activities for me to enjoy. The gym and walking are great. I really really want to get back to hiking at least once a week. I miss it and can't wait to see how much better I can do now with the weight loss. I'd like to learn to play the piano or guitar. I still enjoy cooking very much even though I don't eat what I make.

Hi everyone,

Last night I went to surprise 50th birthday party for one of my very close friends that I haven't seen in a couple of years. He was big size guy but not as big as me before WLS. When we saw each other we both couldn't believe our eyes! He's lost 95 lbs. As we were talking with each other we both discovered that we had WLS! What a great reunion it was! Other than family parties, I have not been to one in quite some time. I know I shouldn't have been surprised but I was. Hardly anyone there was social with one another. Everyone had their noses stuck to their phones. I would have introduced myself to everyone at the table I was sitting with but everyone was to themselves. I did make the attempt to be friendly but they were too interested in what was going in their phone. I guess I'm just an old fart! LOL!

It was sunny and beautiful today so I spent the majority of the day cooking outside. I love to grill and use my smokers. Today I grilled up a couple of rib eye steaks and shrimp for me and chicken breast, salmon and asparagus for my wife. My wife also eats the rib eye.

QOTD: I collect Hess Trucks and have since I was a little kid. I do a little gardening. Once I am physically able to again I will be riding my bike and going to swim laps at the Y. Yes it's exercise but I also love doing it.

B: 2 eggs, 2 strips bacon, 1 slice cheese

L: (A few things) A few shrimp, a little turkey breakfast sausage, a small piece of rib eye

S: Otrim meat stick and a little ham

D: Either shrimp, rib eye or sausage

S: ?

I hope everyone enjoys their evening!
