What's everyone up to today? I'm still on the farm, but will head back to the city around lunch. I spent the evening yesterday making centre piece prototypes for my sisters baby shower! Wild Saturday night!
qotd: my clinic said cultivating non food related hobbies was important. I've got a few on the go, but nothing I'm super passionate about. I do enjoy painting though. I'd like to get more into sewing. And I think we're going to get a bit more ambitious with our garden this year. Although, that responsibility rests more with my husband, I'm a helper when it comes to keeping things alive...
what are you're hobbies? Are you a Collector?

Good Morning Insert Fitness and Menu Family!
No big plans for today. Fun stuff like laundry and chores. I will take Blossom for a walk later on.
QOTD: My hobbies are pets, watercolor painting, arts and crafts, reading, swimming, hanging out with my daughter, shopping for bargains, etc. I collect Josef Original figurines and nodder figurines and also have an antique doll collection that used to be my mother's and also includes dolls my grandparents gave me when I was a child.

D: taco meat, cheese, sour cream, 1/2 flour tortilla
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the neighborhood

Good Sunday Morning!
Not much going on today. A friend is coming over and we will probably do a little furniture shopping for the elusive perfect couch.
QOTD: I used to consider myself a book artist, but I do it so rarely anymore that it isn't fair to call it a hobby anymore. I think listening to podcasts and audiobooks on my commute might be the only hobby I have left at the moment, but I am hoping to cultivate a kick ass herb garden this summer. Does running count? Doesn't feel like a hobby, but maybe it counts!
I have eaten out so much this week that I have an entire fridge full of leftovers--cheesesteak spring roll appetizers, steak tips, and chicken taco salad.
Exercise: If it isn't too cold I will do the elliptical (which lives in the unheated mud room).
My fun Saturday night - early evening I went to the gym I joined. I figured I need to get into the habit of going even though some days I plan on working out from home.... I Instapot cooked a brisket I had been marinating...I've nver actually cooked a brisket...eaten yes...cooked no. Thye were on sale for passover so I thought I'd try....taste test has yet to happen....
Today= I think I am going to do Pilates workout this AM and Maybe my Running App this afternoon...It looks nice out there. Eating and going to church in between....
We have food at church once a month and today is the day- and it is the Pastor's Birthday- so Ice cream cake happening .... Not feeling strong. I bought a mini watermelon to cut up as my food offfering... When I went food shopping Friday night in the rain I was hungry and tired... My food is a hot mess...trying to decide if adding some real carbs like fruit is better than the faux carbs I've been eating. So I have strawberries and kiwis sitting there too. Add? or keep for myself?
QOTD: Well it is a hobby, but more than a hobby because I do make money at it...which is painting. I posted my class photo on Friday. Class went well as always, but project was a little too complicated for an hour and 1/2 class... so it ran over... My specialty is painting on glass....I have also painted murals in peoples homes as well....Used to teach at several Michaels stores years ago.
I do crochet and do any and all kinds of crafting in spits and spurts...and seeing Melissa's sewing lately makes me even want to drag out the sewing machine!
I find food on Sundays difficult with church and not normal timing of meals...church is in afternoon
B: Coffee w/fairlife/Miralax Protein Drink TBD
S: Poached egg w.Siracha and Turkey sausage. I was happy to find the Shadybrook Farms breakfast sausage when shopping Fri nite. I love them, and fresh, not frozen... Even before WLS I find Turkey sausage sat better with me than pork sausage....maybe a lack of a gall bladder had something to do with that :)
Late Lunch: Church. Meat focus and will have some fruit. NO Ice cream! NO Bagel!
Dinner: Brisket and veggie
Snack: Protein Hot Chocolate, greek yogurt w/pb powder and sugar free j.
Am really going to try not to play loosey goosey with this menu...
Edit to add: I am going to say hiking, running and exercise in general is a new hobby. Not usually a chore more like- What can I do today? Who is this person?

Actually I just portioned out 1 cup servings of fruit and the rest is going to church. I have 4 strawberry/kiwi which has 6 net carbs and I think 8 total, and 2- watermelon which is 9 total carbs (done by weight).. So really not horrible.
Having one cup containers with lids- that don't lie about portions...hahahaha is key. If I put the lid on there is no extra mounding over....
