Weight loss during your first month post op!
I am officially one month post op!! Cannot believe this month went so fast! I have days when I am hitting all of my liquid goals as well as protein and I'm beyond proud and excited.
However, this first month I've lost 25.9 pounds which is great, but I've stalled for about a week and a half now. Is this normal?
How much did you lose your first month? I know they say that the bigger you are the quicker you'll lose, but I started out on the higher end of things?
Anyways 40+ pounds lost since my liquid diet and I'm extremely happy with my progress, just wondering and hoping I'm not one of those this surgery doesn't work with. (I know it's rare but I'm just bummed).

The surgery really can't "not work" as long as you follow the instructions. And it's already been working so just keep to the diet and you'll keep shedding weight.
Those "plateaus" where the weight stays the same for a while are normal and happen to everybody losing a lot of weight; not just bariatric folks. It's quite common.
You've lost more than I did in my first month, and I lost a ton. Read my sig lines.

I started at 240, lost just over 21 pounds the first month. I have had two significant stalls, both lasting over 2 weeks, one about 3 weeks. I've had to have my husband take away the scale so I can't obsess over stuff. It doesn't make me NOT obsess, but I obsess less. One thing I did to help me with the focus on the pounds is to join a gym again. I know that my activity level is one area where I have full control - with the benefits being increased stamina, self esteem building, and overall increased health (lower resting heart rate, etc). I joined the gym last Sunday and am headed out today for my fourth session in a week. That is where I'm trying to shift my personal focus because when I lost weight previously that was a huge help for me. Otherwise I'm just doing what I know I have to.
Congrats on your weight loss. I lost about 14 lbs my first month. I was thrilled, I think you are doing awesome. :)
