What's on your Saturday menu RNYer?
Good morning weekend menu peeps. Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in already and will do another mile after supper tonight. Yesterday was Lily's our boxers birthday and we made a trip to the shelter where we got her so Lisa, the woman who started the shelter could see her. She was so excited and took a picture for their website. She remembered her by her name there which was Babs and remembered which run she had been in and that was 3 years ago. This is an amazing no kill shelter that placed 867 animals in 2016 so she obviously has a far better memory than I. QOTD I don't really do resolutionso but I'm still sticking with my daily exercise and maintaining my weight so that's all good. Post op 4 years 7 months and weight at 117.6 today. Here's the food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1/2 c tuna salad 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz ribeye 1/2 c Tuscan veggie blend S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goal!,
It is. It was started in Lisa home and she really loves the cases most shelters won't take like pit bulls and dogs from puppy mills. They take great care in placing the animals and require references including your vet which they actually call. If for some reason the animal is not a fit for you they require you to return them there and get quite upset if one of their dogs ends up in a pound. Every time we visit we donate some food or money because they do such amazing work. Lily came from a puppy mill and was a mess when they got her--terrible skin condition and about 25 pounds underweight and terrified of everything. We're so thankful that they found her and loved her and made her feel safe until we could find her. She has added so much love and enthusiasm to our family and saves me from my lazy self everyday!
off to work today - boo! I wish I could just lie around all weekend...
QOTD: no resolutions. I'm still in my maintenance range (144 this morning), but it's been a challenge the last few weeks. When I allowed myself to go up to 1500 kcal/day (a good maintenance level for me - it's comfortable and it keeps my weight where I want it to be), it seemed to unleash a monster. It's a real struggle some days to keep myself at that level. If I let myself, I'd be at 2000+, easily. It floors me that I stayed so low for so long - could I even do that again if I had to??
21 months out
B: Triple Zero coconut cream, 1 T cacao nibs, strawberries, 1 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, snickerdoodle protein/fiber shake
L: chicken salad (made with Greek yogurt)
D: we might go out since we both work today (me until 6:00) - if so, I'm thinking two tacos at this new Mexican place I've discovered. If not, leftover Caribbean pork stir fry.
a L&F yogurt later if I can afford the calories
on 4/1/17 7:13 am
"could I even do that again if I had to??"
I would never bet against anyone who put in the work to lose 230 lbs...

Morning RNY'ers. My run is done and I'm at bowling with my boy. No plans for today, I need to work at some point this weekend.
qotd: I'm doing well with 3 of my 4 resolutions. They were to: drink 8 additional ounces a day before eating anything- I'm doing it and notice my body actually craves a drink upon waking now; work towards 5 miles runs and I'm up just shy of 4.5miles; better monitor my spending- totally on track. Only one im struggling with is my after work snacking.
194.5 today
m1: two boiled eggs
m2: pork chop 5oz
m3-4: ??

I don't use mint. We have bill paying spreadsheet that I plan out for the upcoming six months. Any money leftover after bills/savings is discretionary. I don't track discretionary $. The big change I needed to make was to separate accounts- one for bill $ and one for discretionary $. Holding both sets of $ in one account led me to mixing and overspending into bill$. It's been working great!
