OMG you guys....this week, ugh!

I dub this the week of appointments....because I feel like that's literally all I've been doing, running from appointment to appointment. I just counted and we had 11 appointments this week (mind you three of them are with the eye doctor because they hadn't gotten my prescription quite right yet....but as of this morning it's now fixed and I can SEE again!).

I had my follow up yesterday at my surgeon's office, but saw a PA because she was out. The good news is my staples are out and I'm healing nicely, we're going to see if we can go ahead and schedule my RNY for June! The bad news.....they FORGOT me Seriously...we sat in the room waiting for someone for an hour and a half. At one point a nurse came in, apologized, and left again because she'd opened the wrong room. I was about to go start *****ing when the same nurse came in and asked if anyone had seen me yet. The PA came in a few minutes later apologizing profusely because apparently the fellow that was supposed to see me thought everyone was gone and just left. The front staff apologized profusely as I was walking out. It was hard for me to not take it personally, and I'm admittedly still a bit grumpy about it this morning.

Photo Friday:

My two pictures are me with my swanky new frames - which I adore, and the second one is a really cool piece of art that I inherited when my grandfather passed away. I just had it re-framed because the movers managed to break the glass on the original frame (which was more annoying than anything because the frame was fugly and the matting was a hideous mustard yellow color so it didn't hurt my feelings to have to replace those). I just got it back yesterday after my appointment and when they opened the paper it gave me goosebumps...I love it so much. The cool thing about this picture is that it's made from just coffee and ink. If you're from the Chicago area you'll probably recognize the scenery

I think you have a right to be out of sorts over being forgotten at the doctors office. Glad to hear your staples are out though.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! I can't believe I made it . . . It was a rough week. 9 more hours and I'm home free! Meeting friends for dinner by the beach so it should be a nice start to the weekend.

JBQOTD - I do gamble, but not tons. When we were in Vegas, I played penny slots . . . not nickel, dime or quarter, but penny. We also have a lottery pool at work and I'm in a pool with a few friends. The pool with my friends can be a drag, honestly, since I have to remember to actually buy the ticket. But you're right, you've got to play to win!

D: I think salmon

S: 4 oz fairlife, skinny vanilla latte after dinner

I'll come back for totals, since dinner is a big ??? depending on where we go . . . since I'm by the beach, I'm assuming fish will always be an available choice.
