What's on your (PHOTO) Friday, RNYers??
Good morning Meny Crew,
It's a wet rainy day here in Southern Ontario - Spring can make it's appearance any time now! Only 16 days until we leave for SC- So excited.
QOTD_ I do buy lottery tickets on occasion, and I guess I palyed the nickel slots on a cruise once- out of 4 cruises. I hate to lose money, so that keeps me in check.
I actually have lots of before pics - I decided when my kids were little that I didn't want them to not have any pics of their mom when they grew up, so I overcame my issue with the camera for that reason. I also started swimming again when they were little because I wanted them to love the water as much as I do.
Menu today:
B: Protein Shake
L: I'm working from home and bought some little packs of fish this morning so I'm going to try some Tilapia. I've had a couple of bad experiences with fish since surgery, but I will keep it moist and hope for the best.
S- Chicken Cordon Bleu - sort of- You roll chicken breast with a slice of ham, secure with a toothpick. The recipe says to top with cream of chicken soup but I'm using Alfredo Sauce instead. You cook in the crockpot for 4 hours on low or 2 on high. I'm not sure how long in the instant pot. Top with swiss cheese and serve. We're having company so it will be served with cauliflower and pasta, and ceasar salad, but I will have just some cauliflower with it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Oh - the scale was down almost 2 lbs today! 237.9 this morning.

Running behind this morning... our ho****er heater died last night, and I had to scramble this morning over to a friend's house to shower... folks, this water heater is less than 4 months old! Damnit!!!!
QOTD: I am a casual gambler... I have been to a few casinos (they are all over Oklahoma), really had a great time in Vegas learning how to play Craps many moons ago, and from time to time I've been known to buy a scratch off ticket.... but I'm not a real gambler. My mother has issues with it, and has won (unfortunately) a 35K scratch off ticket, then a few months later a 15K scratch off ticket... now she lives to win again, and it's sad. I have an alcoholic dad (who cracks me up because he talks about other alcoholics/drunks, he doesn't realize he's one, too. Even if he does get up every morning and go to the business he owns and runs, and is doing a 60mi bike marathon on Sunday - at 70yo, he's an alcoholic), and an addicted gambling mother... Can you see where my food obsessions come from?
Working on snacking through breakfast with beef jerky and a handful of pork rinds... my schedule is off because of the ho****er heater debacle, so I've had my coffee earlier than usual, and not in the mood to eat anything proper for breakfast.
Lunch: I'll have something at home since I leave around 1130
Dinner: Open... but protein first
Snacks: More latte later!
My picture is from our trip to Austin. As a child, growing up in Texas, I've been to the capitol several times, and each time, they would show you how if you stand on the star and speak/clap you can hear it echo all the way up and back down to you - but only YOU can hear it, standing on the star.... the tourguides that were there this time never mentioned a thing - and I had totally forgotten - until I remembered... I had to wait a while to get my picture taken, and to hollar HELLLLLLO and clap several times, up to the star on the ceiling... people didn't know what I was doing, I think they thought I was nuts... it made me laugh, and really brought back great memories! I think you can see by the laughs that I was truly enjoying myself!
