What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
My friend owns a large consignment shop size 14 and above. She works very hard but she really loves what she is doing. She donates a lot of clothes to charity and will always give an outfit to someone in need.
I love shopping in there. I have bought most of my clothes there for years. I have beautiful fancy clothes for the opera and other night out clothes. It's easy to be overdressed in Seattle.
My son has his first girlfriend. She is the star of the high school play. I'm going tonight but he said "don't wear that fancy stuff!" and "pretend we aren't related"! I can't wait to see who caught his eye.
Morning all!
On the run this morning...Thursday is busy for us. Co-op day for my kids, and two of them start soccer practice tonight as well. Goodbye, Saturdays!
QOTD- A used book store. Like most homeschoolers we have a ridiculous home library, but I have been a book addict since I was a kid. So bookstores are a favorite place to browse. Used bookstores are even better. 1. I am cheap. 2. There's just something awesome about old books. Very old vintage books with a fading inscription on the inside cover, beautiful old prints of watercolor illustrations inside,,,love them. We have a huge used bookstore not far from us with a big vintage section and I love to go there.
Breakfast- coffee, probably just some almonds when I get hungry as we are leaving soon and I'm not feeling like I want food anytime soon this morning.
Lunch- deli meat and cheese, mustard, a clementine
Snack- hot tea, protein bar. My last protein bar in stock. I'm feeling kind of over them, I don't have plans to buy more in the immediate future. Though they are nice to have on days like today when my food supplies are low.
Dinner- Still scrounging until my big shopping trip tomorrow. I picked up some Italian sausage though, I'm thinking sausage and kidney bean soup with some breadsticks on the side for the fam.

I used to teach a culinary program and once had dreams of opening my own restaurant called "Gourmet Comfort" where we'd serve gourmet versions of traditional comfort foods as the name would suggest.
