What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

what a most excellent question for today. Yesterday after work I took pups (all 4) to the vet myself. That was a real adventure but they needed their shots. Tried a different vet, our old one got sooo expensive and this new one saved us $150.

Today is my Friday and I can't wait! Starting to pack for trip and HOPING for a meetup with JAXLIVING!

QOTD: I would have to say first clothing shop but with really good prices. I couldn't charge an arm and a leg unless it was a vintage piece. I would offer styling/personal shopping as part of the experience for the person. Did I mention I LOVE clothes and shopping? haha. I would also sell my handmade jewelry and cards there also. Any maybe Jamberry nail wraps, everything fun together!

I've been working on a combo 'capsule' wardrobe plus refining my closet. There are certain pieces that I'm looking for and last week I found the coveted benneton black trench coat. not sure what the story was but our local thrift gets donations from our big outlet sometimes. Someone dropped off benneton clothes in my size (black long dress, little vest coats, black trench, more dresses) and I found the coat the first day for 50% off so it was $6. Then I went back for the dress for $7.50. Anywho there are some particular pieces on the capsule listing (google for more info). Still looking for a peplum top but I want a structured one and it seems most I see this season are blousy and I don't really want that. OH and I found a vintage harley davidson biker jacket at a yard sale for $5 that is worth over $250! and it fits me yippie.

Yesterday's food went well. I did eat a protein bar before bed that I really should have left off but that is water under the bridge.

Today's plans- rest of leftovers: ribs, romaine, carrots?, yogurt, whatever else I can find in there that I don't have to throw away.

Haven't weighed yet today but yesterday was 119,2. I wonder how it will be not to weigh for a week. Haven't NOT weighed everyday in a while.

Wow on the great deals! I've seen the capsule ideas before and I think I will go for that when I get to goal too. But I will have to do my thrift store shopping when we visit the States because anything name brand here tends to get priced high- seriously I could buy at the actual store on clearance for less! And congrats on the vet. We just found a mechanic who is awesome and way cheaper than our old mechanic.

I was only gone for 4 days, and I really had to talk myself down before stepping on the scale yesterday... I was prepared for up to a 4 lb GAIN... I had convinced myself that it would be OK if that happened... it would be water weight... yada yada yada... I was SO happy when it showed a 4lb loss! It was then that I realized I really rely on daily weighing...

I feel ya on that one!

I hope you guys meet up!!! Pictures for sure if you do!

Don't let the scale get to you! I was stuck last week and then lost 5 lbs this week.

Scales like to mess with our head! Don't let it get to you... much easier to give that advice, than to accept it, I realize... Hang in there! Don't let it derail you (which is what I tend to do!)

Good morning menu crew! I had my very first caffeinated coffee today and oh my goodness it was so good. I know people say decaf tastes the same but I can't say that I agree. I will make sure I get in extra water today to compensate.

A lady I take the bus with gave me 3 long tips today so I'm wearing one with leggings today. She's 6 inches taller than me so it could almost be a dress. I wasn't sure of the outfit at first because I've never worn just leggings with a top but I feel cute. :)

QOTD: I've had several ideas over the years. I'm from Newfoundland and there are a lot of people that are from there but don't live there. It used to be said that the province's greatest export was its people. So an online store selling Newfie products would be cool. I also love those little print shops like the UPS store where you can get business cards, and other things printed. I'd love helping people design stuff and print it off. Seriously though, I'm not much of an entrepreneur and if I could, I'd go back to school to be a nurse or even a PSW and work in a nursing home.

Menu today:

B: The usual Protein Shake. New Zealand Whey Protein Isolate mixed with Natrel 2% Lactose Free milk. It's the closest thing we have to Fairlife.

L: Leftover rotisserie chicken from a chain restaurant called Swiss Chalet. Swiss chalet sauce and stir fry vegetables

D: that's up in the air. hubby is home but that doesn't always mean dinner will be ready.

S: I brought a protein egg custard with me but I'm not sure if I will eat it or not.

Forgot to add JB- your date sounds wonderful. Hubby and I have a date night coming up- our 22st anniversary is next Wednesday but no plans yet.

And here's a pic of the outfit I was talking about.
