Hillary could you explain your statement "Exercise will make you lose slower so don't count on that to make you drop weight?" That is not how it worked for me at all, quite the opposite.

Hey daisy

exer for me held back water to supplement for the exercise so I lost less fast. I had been building muscle but less loss. At least for me it did.

I typically get 65-70 oz total, but I know I could stand to increase those numbers.

I have had 3 Venofer Iron infusions (July 2016, October 2016 & January 2017) and not one of them made me constipated or retain water.

Are you using Miralax or the Canadian version is called Restoralax for going to the bathroom? If not you need to get some help and make sure you don't stay constipated it can be so uncomfortable.

For sure if you have trigger foods in your house there is more temptation and its easier to eat them if they are there, good job in getting them out of the house.

To get yourself into "onderland" you need to stick to low calorie, high protien and low low carb and drink liquids like its your job. Stalls happen just keep doing what you are doing (minus the graham cracker & PB) and you will get out of this stall.

Good luck, you can do this!!!

Thanks Daisydoo,

I did finally take Miralax last night to help things along. I was hesitant because I usually have the opposite problem. Like, running-to-the-bathroom problem once a day, sometimes more. After the infusion, it's been about every 3-4 days. A happy medium would be nice. :)

Things that weren't triggers for me before have somehow changed after surgery. I've learned that anything that acts as a peanut butter vehicle is dangerous. I can fairly easily stay away from pasta, rice, and bread. It's the sweets, and strangely, bananas that are not allowed within my eyesight. I told my husband that if he brings home cookies or brownies, he has to hide them or I will throw them away. He thinks I'm being harsh, but he doesn't have the addiction that I do.

Thank you for your comments. I will stay the course.

so weird how pooping post surgery now is sooo different! UGH I hear you. I tend to be more on the constipated side of things, I live in Canada so I take restoralax daily and that is pretty much the only way I can ensure I "go."

I loved PB pre surgery but not so much now, feels heavy and like a brick in my pouch. I hear you 1000% on the sweets. I was addicted to sugar pre surgery and love it just as much now at 3.5 yrs out. I can't have
real sugar as I get sick, RH (reactive hypoglycemia) and its horrible. I can't have it in my house either! I am lucky my hubby is not into sweets but if he was it would be a battle. Its hard for our loved ones to understand all things weight loss and like you said how we have addictions to food, I hear ya!

You can do this, and keep working your plan it will happen and before you know it you will be posting you are under 200!

Totally agree about pb delivery devices. They cannot be in my house. Some things are ok as long as they are out of sight, but not pb or any form of cracker. I have a jar that lives in the trunk of my car because I do need it sometimes for recipes. And my bowel habits changed completely afer RNY. I started using miralax and now have to supplement with MoM some days, which I hate, but much better than getting backed up for days on end.

I thought one rice cake would be ok since it was so low calorie and not many carbs. Problem was I couldn't stop at one. I had to throw the whole package out.

I would like to get rid of the pb altogether, but my kids eat it too much for me to justify it. I try to keep the house stocked with enough on-track things I enjoy eating so I don't feel too deprived.

One of my only "stalls" (and really, a stall is more than 2 weeks --but I felt like it was a stall, too) -- was right before I crossed into ONEderland.

I don't know why -- it was like some mean joke from the universe.

I have had iron infusions -- they've never caused me to stall -- but of course, everyone is different.

Stay patient. It will happen.

Maybe because it's so anticipated, it seems like these last pounds are taking forever. My bariatric nurse asked me what the absolute minimum amount I wanted to lose and I told her 75 pounds so I would be under 200. I remember one time as an adult, at age 21, I reached 199 for a day. Essentially, I've never been that small except as a child.

Here's to new things!
