Rush rush rush again. Crazy busy week this week.

QOTD: My family had moved to Puerto Rico when I was in kindergarten so I attended a local 'kindergarten' based in a lady's house. Her name was TiTi Mighty (sort of Auntie Mighty). she and all the children only spoke Spanish, my mother spoke only English. I got fluent quickly and remember having wonderful fun there at TiTi Mighty's house. We did some sort of play where a lady cried and cried to have a baby and God gave her one that grew out of a flower pot. LOL No idea what that was all about but I remember I had fun. My only trouble really was that TiTi Mighty believed the left hand was 'the Devil's hand' and so anytime I tried to write or color with my left she would swat my hand and make me use the right hand. By the time we moved to New York state for 1 grade I was mirror writing (flipping letters and whole words) and diagnosed as severely dyslexic. I likely would have been dyslexic anyway but my parents always told people it was that TiTi Mighty that made their babygirl dyslexic.

Menu: B: Homemade Greek yogurt with granola and 1 tbs of strawberry jam; L: Taco meat, 1/4 cheese, small banana; D: Seared chicken breast with asparagus; S: Chobani Simply 100 Crunch; ES: Popcorn 100 calorie bag; Totals: Cal 1334; Protein 130; Carb 97; Fat 56

Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday, everyone. The weather here has changed and it should be in the 80's for the rest of the week, with very light wind. I think I'll be able to get my first after work run in, work schedule permitting.

JBQOTD - My teacher was Ms. Beverly and I had the morning session. I remember hating nap time. I also remember failing skipping! What kid can't skip???? I'm happy to say I've since mastered the skill and would get a passing grade. A few years later, my mother agreed to babysit for my teacher and I remember how odd it was to see her in my house!

My plan . . . is virtually non-existent. Absolutely nothing sounds good to me, and while I know food is just fuel, it has to be appealing for me to choke it down.

B: 2.36 oz sliced ham, 1 oz cheese

L: No idea. Going out with my cousin. Depending where we go, I'll either get a salad with salmon or a bunless chicken sandwich

D: ????? I'm running after work and took nothing out. I'm open to suggestions.

S: Skinny vanilla latte, light and fit

No totals because of the ginormous holes in my plan. Would someone like to take over menu planning for me? I think I'm suffering a bit of diet burnout.

I totally get menu burnout-- I was feeling that way last week. I miss just throwing food into my pie hole without planning every calorie...it makes it so much less fun...sigh...

Also, I read "bunless chicken sandwich" as "business chicken sandwich" and it really got my imagination going for a second ;)

I'm with you on the awful weather. I had to drive into Boston last night for a rehearsal and it was just yucky to drive in and walk around in. I hadn't heard about Friday!!! I want to cry.

QOTD: I only have two kindergarten memory's . 1) the teacher had beautiful clear glass bottles that had all the pretty colors in them. I love those things. 2) A boy named "Roy" that shared a table with me threatened to tell the teacher I'd scratched the table with my finger nails if I didn't give him the pennies in my penny loafers. When I got home my mom was so mad and I was afraid to tell her that I gave them to him so I told her I spent it on double bubble, bubble gum on the way home. I still got in trouble. Stupid boy!

Finally some sun here in CT!

Good morning JB and crew! Late post for me - last minute sub for a Special Ed teacher who called in sick. Ugh. I had lots of plans today... leaving my job soon and I already had a desk full of work!

QOTD: I did not get to go to kindergarten. Starting age in New Jersey was 6 and we moved to California just before I turned 6. So I got to start first grade... but my memorable experience there was that my mother packed a hard boiled egg and Oreos. The Oreos rolled over the hard boiled egg and when I took it out the egg had little black crumbs on it. I got teased and my mother had to come to school because I was so upset. I wonder how much that had to do with my later food obsessions.

B: Premier Protein vanilla with LOTS of coffee

L: 1 oz beef jerky, Dannon Peach greek yogurt

D: TJs chicken parmesan

S: Syntrax cappucchino with Fairlife

No totals today, I am at a different computer

My PA was so thrilled that I am logging everything into MFP before I eat it. She said that is a true mark of someone who is destined to be successful. Now if I would just start eating the crackers...

Have a great day everyone!

mmmmmm,,,,gourmet tater tots,,,,

I'm late because I took my son to the pediatrician this morning, and then have spent that last couple hours getting in his various meds. He's autistic, meds are much fun, ha! He had a rough night last night so I was very glad I had made the appointment for this morning. She said he has a bad ear infection, and he needed inhaled and oral steroids started for his asthma. He's already looking better, thankfully.

Then I got home to find out my husband scheduled surgery for next Wednesday. He has a hernia he needs repaired and finally went to a consult yesterday, and the doctor I guess put the fear of God in him. It's my surgeon too! He does other abdominal surgeries besides bariatrics, lol.

So, I had coffee for breakfast and then bolted to the clinic. Then I had a late, quickie breakfast of deli ham and cheese roll ups with dijon, and a couple slices of apple.

Lunch I just had, leftover pulled pork, cucumber and tomatoes from last night.

Snack- I don't think I will need anything thanks to my late lunch. Hot tea. I'm kinda jonesing for some more coffee but I probably need to focus on getting water in at this point.

Dinner- Good question. hmmm. I still need a good shopping trip but won't get a chance until Friday. I have some ground beef, I'm imagining something taco-ish.
