Had My 6-mo Check-up...
Surprise. PA said I am not getting enough calories. I asked why. She said my metabolism will slow down and I will stop losing weight if I am exercising and not getting at least 1000 calories a day. She asked what I eat. Beef jerky, I said. Hard boiled eggs. Greek yogurt. Chicken. Cheese. Protein drinks. Litle salad some days. Have some whole wheat crackers, she said. No thank you, I said, slippery slope. And so it went for 30 minutes until blessedly it was over. NUT was out sick so I got to skip that. I am good for another 3 months.
Good news for me: my blood pressure is normal! My A1c is 6.5. I have lost 21% of my body weight from when I first saw them (not my starting point). My labs are normal except they forgot iron so I have another lab still waiting. And I feel great. They are happy, I am happy, great visit.

Tonight I spoke at my Doc's seminar and someone asked about losing 'too much weight' and the nurse talked about how they expect a regain .... ugh. ugh. ugh....

Well. I am supposed to eat WHOLE WHEAT crackers so I am sure THAT would be okay. Right? Lol.
When I said no, 4 whole wheat crackers would just be the start, and then I would want butter on them, and an entire sleeve or box would happen... she just looked at me like I was crazy.
