"Oh give thanks to the Lord for he is good!"
Morning!
It is so pretty outside...my dogwoods are blooming and squirrels and birds are everywhere, it's like a scene from Snow White out there, lol! None of them are coming in to clean though...
I "met" my husband online and we talked for a couple of months that way, and on the phone, before meeting in real life. I was very nervous about meeting him for reals, because this was 17 years ago and meeting someone online was still pretty new and weird. So I met him at an amusement park, the most crowded place I could think of, lol. We hit it off great right away. But he had a bit of commitment phobia and I was also in nursing school at the time, so we dated on and off for like three years before we finally got married.
Home all day today, my 12yo is sick again. :( The younger ones have hardly been sick at all this year, but he keeps catching everything. He has asthma too, and takes longer to get over these things. Planning meals as I type. I need a good shopping trip but I won't get one until Friday. Today is supposed to be my shopping day! So winging it a bit.
Breakfast- two eggs with cheese and salsa
Lunch- leftover Italian meat sauce from last night over some ricotta
Snack- more of the above from lunch if I didn't' fini**** Deli ham and cheese roll ups if I did.
Dinner- I have this spicy pulled pork I found in the freezer yesterday that I will make sandwiches with for the fam, just pork for me. Oven roasted potatoes to have with, and I will have a little bit of the potato with. I have some tomato and cucumber kicking around too I will slice up and serve with.

Good morning. First real date was at the Botanic Gardens here in Northshore Chicago suburbs. We walked all over and saw a chef's cooking demo. I bought her an autographed copy of the cookbook. We both remember it as a major thing, so it was good. We ended up moving in together two weeks later and married 5 months later. I do pray I can overcome the damage I've done to our lives due to my weight. It got pretty bad the last couple years before the WLS. But baby steps. Baby steps forward.
B eggs with veg
L seeing a good friend at local sushi house. So Sashimi and some miso soup
S Premier shake; maybe some extra of the egg breakfast brought too much with me
D Chicken breast in some Costco sauce. It looked good and only had 6 gram sugar
S popsicles
I didn't get selected for jury duty after all - which is kind of a relief. Too much going on this week. Nothing that would have gotten me off the hook for a trial, but a lot to try to re-schedule. Whew. Safe for another four years....(I'm one of those who seems to get called all the time!!)
QOTD: It's been forever since I met DH, but I think we just walked around downtown. He didn't live in town at the time, so it was his first visit here. We also went out to eat a lot - including at the restaurant where his parents had their first date a couple of decades before!
21 months out (maintenance)
B: homemade Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries
S: coffee with half & half, SF protein/fiber mocha latte
L: 1 C turkey chili, 1 T plain Greek yogurt
D: chicken salad
probably another yogurt in there somewhere
meditation class tonight (for my research study) - looking forward to it!
My hubby lived an hour away when we started dating, so we mostly saw each other on weekends and we ate out a lot! From when we started dating until we got married 2 1/2 years later, I'd gained about 40 lbs!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
I think that was my biggest problem. I was obese when we met (c. 240 lbs), but I wasn't SMO - I put on over 100 lbs after meeting him! (took a few years - but I gained like 20 lbs every year...). I was never a big junk food eater, but once we started dating, and then moved in together, and then got married, we went out to eat *a lot*. Like we're talking 3 or 4 times a week. And of course, I would eat everything on my plate, even if it was enough for two meals. Buffets were the worst - we'd hit Chinese or Indian buffets for lunch. He put on weight, too, but was able to stop it before it got out of control. Eating out can be disastrous!! (we still do it, but only a couple of times a month now, and I really watch my choices and portions....)
Good Morning! I am glad to hear that your review went well. I am in the middle of delivering third quarter reviews (for 13 people!) and for the most part they are all doing well. I hope my team walks away feeling supported like you did- that is one of my goals. That, and that they aren't caught off guard by comments in areas where they can improve or haven't met a goal or something like that.
Eekkkk, I have my pre-op with my plastic surgeon this afternoon. Two weeks from tomorrow! I have 7 working days left so I am trying to balance a work load of staying busy enough that the day doesn't drag but also not adding on too many new tasks if that makes sense?
QOTD: We watched "Next Friday" at a movie theater and then went bowling.
Time since surgery: 2 years, 7 months

E: 7 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch
