How stunning! I grew up on a farm and I miss being able to have the animals - my hubby grew up in a subdivision setting so that's where we currently live. I told him when we retire I want a place where i can have my goats and ducks, and maybe a few chickens, and a horse....and maybe a cow

Well, I guess. It is actually going to be a campground, but with a working train, a petting farm, reptile room, and a garden. I think we will have chickens, couple of mini donkeys, ponies and a few goats and random fowl. Since we have never actually run a farm (or a campground, for that matter) this is currently a work in progress ;)
That's amazing, I look forward to tales of your progress!! I grew up playing in the barn and scaling the stacks of hay bales, being chased by the rotten mean old turkey and riding my horse through our hay field at sunrise....it's a wonderful life!

I'm definitely a lurker trying to be a poster... I posted about a month ago and then again when JP and Grim came back and started posting again ( I really missed the Grimberry posts and humor).. I actually joined OH in 2007... I am a computer neophyte and really have trouble negotiating the computerspeak (like what does PM mean?)... in any case...looks like I'm going to post now... thanks for asking ! Rosemi
