"....20 lbs can naturally come back. "
Not sure naturally is the word I would use. As we lose weight and feel comfortable in our new use...We relax a bit. We may have a bite here, bite there, and extra drink..A handful of popcorn... And we stop paying attention. Stop weighing ourself once a week or every couple of days...And 2 lbs turns to 5 and before we realize - the 5 bones 10...And like before WLS - we promise ourselves that "tomorrow" or "Monday" we will be back on truck. Or after holidays, or birthdays, or after the party...
I wanted to gain 10 lbs after I lost all my excess weight... I gained 30 in a few years... It was a few lbs here and there. There is nothing "natural" about the regain. It happens because we allowed it to happen. Because it is too hard to follow the diet, too much stress, or we are simply tired of being on restrictions.
If you body let's you drop the extra 20 lbs - go for it... But don't try "killing" yourself to get there only to regain it...
I learned from my skinny Friends... If they see 2-5 lbs that is no****er weight - they go back on strict program until they are back into their comfort zone, and the jeans no longer feel tight.

That is me now.
Because it is so easy to lose muscles and very hard to rebuild them.

I can see your point. That's exactly how i got obese in the first place, lol. He may not have said "naturally", he could have said you "will"... but he has not said a thing to me that has not happened, so i am trusting him and i have followed his instructions. He is very strict and matter of fact. I did not see a softer side of this man until my 3 month check up. The nurse explained that most do not follow his instructions and have issues and problems and i came in successful. Thurs i go in for my 6 month check up and he'll be happy again! Another victory for me... I'll take it!
