What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Good morning and happy Wednesday! I love the rain, but we have had so much and I'm over it! We now have longer days, it's spring and I need the sun! Next week is supposed to be really nice and I can't wait. It motivates and energizes me. The rain makes me achy, then I want to put on my PJ's and call it a day. Ugh!
I tried Crio Bru yesterday for the first time. I followed the instructions on the bag for the French press. This stuff smells amazing, like wonderful chocolate should, but it was so watery. There is no real depth of flavor, just an "essence". I added a little splenda and it was okay, then I added a little cream and it was yuck... Mind you I love extremely strong coffee so I'm not sure what I was expecting. So, to the Crio Bru lovers on here, how do you make it and what do you put in it?
QOTD - As a kid I loved the monkey bars and playing hopscotch and kick ball!
4 months out from surgery
b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda
b2-pepperoni
l-tuna
d-grilled chicken
v/l - on track
e- 45 minutes of cardio
Have a great day!!

My Crio Bru K cups are watery, too. I like the taste, but I think because of the chocolatey smell, you go in expecting thick and creamy cocoa, but you are really getting tea. I add a little milk and sweetner and I have gotten used to the wateriness. But for 1/4 of the price I think I will just get some sugar free cocoa packets the next time I am craving warm chocolate.

It is like tea, that is a perfect way to describe it. I was thinking of adding a few scoops of coffee along with the Crio Bru in the French press to give it the depth I'm looking for. Could be quite the buzz!

I felt the SAME WAY about the Crio Bru... I finally have ended up using what I have left as an accompaniment to my coffee... I throw a scoop of that on top of the mound of coffee I throw in for a large latte, and it gives it a slight chocolate flavor.
My coffee is probably just a step or two away from sludge, it's so strong, so drinking this watered down version of hot chocolate only made me crave things I didn't need... like big mugs of hot chocolate, marshmallows, and whipped cream! LOL
But I LOVE to open the bag of Crio Bru and deeply inhale all that chocolate yumminess!

Good morning GrimBerry and crew!
QOTD: I loved the bar on the playground that you could get on and spin around. That would terrify me now, however.
B: Fairlife with coffee and Miralax, Premier Protein vanilla with more coffee
L: salad with hard boiled egg and lite ranch, 4 beet slices
D: We have unexpected vegetarian company. IDK
S: Dannon Greek blueberry, foil-less beef jerky coins, 6, diet cran something
Totals: Ummmm. But yesterday I avoided the restaurant dilemma by taking daughter back to school early, so I could have my homemade Wendy's chili for dinner. Much better. Today will be hard. IDK what to cook that is vegetarian and still protein forward. I may have to do something different.
I can't wait to post my confident picture. I shopped at Chico's this weekend and bought a ... size 1! top. I almost wore it tag side out so people could see the size. LOL. Not excited or anything.
Have a great day, everyone!

There is a local restaurant here that has this deep fried tofu that goes so well with fresh veggies! It's really good and has a stronger flavor (probably from the grease! LOL)... you could always add tofu to most anything, and it adds protein and keeps it vegetarian friendly. and check around and see what flavors you can pick up already cooked at a local place!

Oooh I always struggle with vegetarians too! My SIL was a veg for a while, and my brother (privately) complained to me that my mom used to fix a "normal" family dinner and then make a vegetable that was our "side" dish as my SILs main dish. My brother said, vegetarians don't eat broccoli as their main dish.
I have a very close friend who is a vegetarian and I found that Mexican food is a good choice. I would make enchiladas and half would have chicken, sour cream, cheese and green chilies, and half would have a can of black beans with a bunch of spices. Then you can serve side salads, or corn, or chips and salsa for everyone...always a good option.
Trader Joe's has a bunch of vegetarian frozen entrees too, and veggie burgers and stuff.
Appetizers are easy - cheese and fruit and nuts plate!
