food
well - I am confused - I have made the ricotta bake twice. The first time was last week and I was able to eat it with no problem. I made it this week - I ate it for lunch and dinner no problem on Sunday; I had it for dinner last night and lunch today (just now) and both of these last two times it has not sat well - I cannot finish the portion and I have pain in my pouch pretty quickly after the 2nd or 3rd bite. Maybe I am eating too fast or not chewing enough? Is it possible that the pouch is picky? not happy about this - it is sitting in the middle of my throat right now and I am sucking on a mint to keep it down .... wish I could drink some water ...

That's our pouches for us. They like to voice their opinion, often. LOL I have experienced that along the way these last 8 months too. I usually just move on from that food for a little bit. Sometimes I go back and then its fine again. Eggs and I have a love hate relationship.

People refer to Big Pouch and Little Pouch days. I'm almost 5 years out, and it's still like that.

Or cranky pouch days. I have been eating raw baby carrots (well chewed for couple of months and love them. I had four while making dinner on Sunday with my daughter... OMG so much pain. I could not eat dinner, and it took several hours before I felt well enough to move around. Probably ate too fast or did not chew well enough, but wow. And I very frequently have the problem of eating something once, fine, but eating second or third time and I can almost not keep it down. I just take a break for a week or more and usually I get back to liking it.
Don't make too much of anything is my motto.

My pouch has been known to change its mind mid-meal, it may be time to move on from the Ricotta bake and try something else for a bit. Personally, my NUT told me if that happens to give it another go in two weeks, but not to force yourself to eat that particular food. Best of luck!

Yep, that happens to me too! It makes me CrAzY! I hate that sick feeling, and it takes me a long time to want to go back to that particular food. It will make you second guess your "chewing"... I'm still embracing my honeymoon period and unfortunately this happens to us a lot.
