Congratulations on the new job! That's a fast time from offer to start date! I've been on my run and am at bowling. Should go fast today since only one other teammate showed up. No real plans this weekend-- groceries, work tomorrow. Clean my kitchen floor (I despise that task!!)
qotd: re water: I take my 40oz takeya bottle everywhere. Constantly sipping from it. I finish one a day- but will drink crystal light, Gatorade 2 or diet Snapple to fill out my daily fluid intake. I don't meal prep but am a creature of habit. I don't mind eating the same breakfast or lunch for days in a row. Logging on MFP is helpful because I've been going back to last year to see what I ate if I run low on ideas. As long as I know what I'm eating for 3 of my four meals I'm giving e with 'winging it' through the 4th meal.

Good Morning Insert Fitness and Menu Family!
Super CONGRATULATIONS on your new job, Insert Fitness!!!
QOTD: I don't work, so my schedule isn't that busy. I drink water constantly and never have a problem getting enough water in. I need to buy a little timer, though, for the 30 minutes after meals when I can't drink water. I time it on the clock, but sometimes forget and take a sip too soon. I take several other medications throughout the day, so I take my vitamins along with my other meds. I plan what I am going to eat in the morning when I post on the menu thread and usually stick pretty close to it.
B: bacon & spinach egg frittata
L: lettuce, chicken, cheese, nuts, low cal dressing
D: taco meat with cheese & 1/2 flour tortilla
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC Saturday everyone!

Good morning all -
QOTD - I plan all of my meals and package them ahead of time. I have been drinking over 64 ounces of water since I began the six months of jumping through hoops for the insurance company before I could have surgery. As I have not yet started vitamins and have not yet had to wait 30 minutes to drink after eating (still on full liquid diet) I am looking forward to all of the tips on the new challenges I will face in the next 10 or so days.
What I ate yesterday:
Premier protein shake (1/2 shake at a time)
PB2 1 Tbsp added to each shake
Triple zero Greek yogurt ( half at a time)
Protein pudding 4 ounces (2 oz each time)
Calories - 398, Protein - 57, Carbs - 33
Water and other liquids - 73 ounces
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

QOTD: I really don't do anything in terms of reminders. I've bunched up most of my vitamins so that I take a small handful when I wake up, a smaller handful when I get home from work, and my iron and vitamin C before I go to bed. Then I only have to remember to get a couple of calcium doses in sometime during the day. For fluids, I have a 32 oz water bottle that I fill twice a day. I also get fluids from my protein shake and coffee (I don't count caffeinated, but I do count decaf), so I'm always over 64 oz.
Food prep: breakfast is always the same, Greek yogurt and berries. Lunches - I often make a big pot of something on the weekend, like chili, and eat that. If not, I usually go for cottage cheese - although the last couple of days I've been eating chicken & hummus & raw veggies in a Flat-Out wrap (love the Flat-Out thing - learned about them here!). Dinners - I pull a couple of things out of the freezer on weekends, and we focus on those during the week. Pork chops, a steak, a couple of chicken breasts, for example. This weekend I pulled out a big sirloin steak (which should last the two of us two meals) and some seasoned pork to make a stir-fry with. I also always have Trader Joe's turkey meatballs in the freezer just in case. I also always have L&F yogurt in my fridge (home *and* work) for a quick snack or a substitute ice cream fix.
21 months out
B: Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, mint protein/fiber shake
L: if I come home, a chicken wrap. If not, I have a protein bar with me
D: Michigan salad with chicken breast (?) (my weekend plans are rarely as solid as my weekday plans!)
probably another Greek yogurt later on...

Good Saturday morning!!! Overcast and cool here this morning. We are taking the dogs on a walk at a local park that is enormous. We can easily get 3 miles in there. Yesterday I saw a thread about coffee. That is seriously what gets me out of bed everyday and more so when it's Starbucks on the way to the park!
Congratulations on the job!!!! Planning is an art, but it can be done and stress free even. I keep it really simple at work. I eat breakfast and lunch there. Lunch meat, tuna, cheese sticks, nuts, beef jerky, meat sticks, moon cheese and condiments like salad dressing or mustard I always keep on hand there so I never get stuck without options. I supplement that with hard boiled eggs and leftovers when I can. I use a big water bottle and I set mini goals of so many ounces by noon and before I leave. I just started the gym last week, so I get that it's hard to fit in when working full time. I committed to going straight from work M-Th and it worked out well last week. I know me, if I were to go home before going to the gym I would find a million reasons not to go. I make sure to pack my gym bag every night so I have no excuse. I take Friday off from exercise and the weekends we walk and hike and are basically more active. I absolutely use my phone for reminders for vitamins, water, to get up and move. No one knows I had WLS at my job and I've been there for 9 years. It was weird the first 2 months but now it's no big deal. I wish you the best of luck!!!
