NSV weekly round up!
I've had a few today and yesterday!
Yesterday, I was at the mall and there were no more "good" tables in the food court (the kind where you can pull out the chairs) so Dad and I had to sit at one of the tables where the chairs are welded to the table and you have to slide in sideways. I never fit comfortably in those chairs and my stomach used to hit the table, my boobs rested over the table by quite a bit. Yesterday, I had lots of room between my stomach and the table, and my boobs were nowhere near it, lol.
Then today I felt really cold so went to get my lined hoodie sweatshirt. It's relatively new, bought before surgery, and I put it on and it's huge on me, long enough to be a dress, when before it just came down to my waist. It's almost to my knees now. I wore it anyway, and when my Mom and Dad saw me, they both did a double take. Mom swore, lol, and Dad said, "OMG, you're disappearing!" LOL.
I'm down 55.6 Lbs since my preop diet on Jan. 11th and can't believe the difference. I can't even imagine what it will be like to lose another 50, but I can't wait to see, lol.

Putting pre surgery clothes back on has helped me process how different my body is now far more than the mirror or scale have. The thing that really surprised me was the hanging down to my knees part. I put stuff on expecting room side to side but not thinking about how much fabric had been required for a shirt to reach my pants.

It really is weird, isn't it? I wasn't expecting that either.
I'm going to get rid of most of my clothes but am going to keep a few items, pants and a top at least, to mark my progress as I go along.

Before surgery every time I would get on my lawn tractor I needed a frikin plunger get me behind the steering wheel! I was so tight that I literally bent the steering wheel! Well, the other day I needed to get my truck into the garage for the snow storm so I had to move my tractor to the side of the garage so the truck would fit. I was so nervous about getting on the tractor my heart was pounding. I couldn't believe it, I got right on without my stomach even coming close to the steering wheel. I was so happy I started yelling for my wife to come see! Great NSV!

So far 80 pounds lost!
Thursday I had my one year follow up with my surgical team so my daughter and I made a day of shopping and fun. I needed to get some summer clothes. Well there was this one shirt that I really liked so I picked grabbed a couple of sizes so I could try them on and was really surprised when not only did they fit but I had to go back and get a smaller size because according my daughter "just try it mom I think the smaller one will fit you just fine" and you know she was right.

I just had to move my seat up in the car because I could no longer reach the pedals! I've had that seat all the way back since I bought it 2 year ago. Also, my shoes are all too big! Looks like I will have to buy new ones!!

So only 30 pounds down so far, but I love fitting better in the smaller seat in my tiny Chevy Spark EV electric car. It was a snug fit before, but it's comfy now... I'll be ecstatic when it's roomy! Also, wearing my fave scrubs to work that were a bit snug before surgery and realizing I have to retire them cause the pants barely stayed on.
