Ooh good timing, I had one yesterday!

10ish years ago when I was at my heaviest, I used to hate this very specific part of my commute because there is no escalator to get from the lower platform to the upper platform at one of the trains I used to take. I used to hate it. I'd wait until others had passed me so that I could go up slowly and huff and puff without holding up other commuters who were in a hurry.

I don't take that train too often anymore but I was there yesterday. It felt great to RUN up those stairs and catch a train whose doors were closing.

Yes! I can run up the stairs at work! The other day I was trudging up them with my heavy computer bag plus pre-packed food. I realized that even with all the baggage I had way less weight to bring up than just my body used to be.

OK so my most memorable NSV is a bit risque...but we're all grown ups here, so if you're not- look away now.

Most memorable NSV: Hubby and I were being intimate. Hubby goes off to offer "special kisses" in that very special place. I suddenly realized it-- I can SEE him doing this. My stomach was no longer blocking my view of his handy work. It was a little awkward at first, cause well, I'd never seen him 'in action' before. But he manged to make me forget that awkwardness quickly.

I was chasing around one of my kids playfully in the grocery store. She had teased me about dancing in the aisle. Apparently this is embarrassing LOL So we were bantering and I hopped over to get closer to her and she bolted away acting like she was trying to prevent anyone from knowing she even knew me. I was laughing and pointing out that we CLEARLY are related because she looks just like me and such. All fun and games. Then my son smiled and said, "I love this." Those of you who have had or been around teenagers know that is just weird. He was being genuinely mushy and positive. I stopped and so did his sister. We both looked at him like WTH? He said, "I just was thinking...before Mom would never have been doing any of this. It makes me happy that you are like running around and stuff." He shrugged, "It is just kinda cool. I'm really proud of you Mom."

Best NSV EVER.

I had an offsite meeting this week and had to walk across the resort several times. It wasn't perfectly easy, but I made it. Even lugged my luggage up and then back down 15 steps. No way that happened even 2 months ago. In the past I would have found an excuse to miss the meeting.

Had another offsite meeting at a local theater (one of those old fashioned places that show concerts - not a modern movie seat) and I fit comfortably into it for a 6 hour session. I went and bought some concert tickets for my wife and I afterwards. Seeing Tommy James and the Schondells on 3/25 at that same theater.

I am able to walk 30 minutes on the treadmill now. I'm still very slow, but I'm moving!
