NSV weekly round up!
For a little while, someone was posting a weekly thread about NSVs, but I haven't seen it for a while, and I thought I'd post one today to kick it off, since I love reading them!
It doesn't have to be the most recent, but even a memorable one, or surprising one.
My favourite this week was when I went to volunteer at a food centre, and realized the aprons fit properly! As someone who wore Ill fitting aprons for years, this was huge!
Also, it was a busy kitchen, and while working, I kept trying to take up less space when someone had to walk behind me, and I kept saying sorry, and scootched closer to the counter. One of the other volunteers was like, don't worry, there's tons of space behind you. Right. I'm not nearly 400 pounds anymore...
So, what's your NSV?

Last night I took my daughter to go meet these military recruiters that she's been talking to... please don't ask, because this isn't something I ever expected... but that's not the story...
The little soldier dude offered me a t-shirt, and I thought WTH, I'll take it, so he goes over to grab one, and he throws me a Medium...and my husband a Large. I thought he threw me the wrong one, but it was in the color I asked for. I got it home, and it fits, if even a bit loose... but the NSV wasn't so much that it fit (I'm buying a few Small shirts these days), but that this kid... a KID looked at me and decided I needed a Medium. How'd he know that? Because in my head I was fully expecting him to throw me an X-Large.

This is great!!
Just yesterday...I grabbed some sweats and took a shower. As I was getting dressed, I pulled the bottoms up and they immediately fell back down!!! Last year at this time they were as tight as leggings!! Yay me!

My mom and aunts are planning to do the zip-line at Niagara Falls this spring/summer and I'm hopeful that I will be able to join them and not have to worry about the scale either.

Some of the past week has been spent going through my clothes, moving old stuff out and bringing in new (to me) stuff that fits properly. I discovered the wonder that is Value Village and I've been trying on sweaters in L and XL which is a far cry from the 4x and 5x that I was wearing at this time a year ago. It is such a bizarre feeling to catch my reflection walking into a store and not recognize it. To pull a large sweater off of a rack in a regular store and have it fit?! I have zero frame of reference for this. It's just weird. Good weird but weird.
My BFs SUV has armrests that have been in the upright position since we met because there was just too much of us to be comfortable with them down. The other day when I reached into the back I caught the armrest and pulled it back down as my arm came back to the front....it didn't even touch me. I fit quite comfortably actually and I've left it down because it makes me smile every time I get in. Lol
