The sick thing is I watched it two times in a night. I did watch it again and my kids watched to see if I was balling my eyes out.

That is funny about your mom thought. I could just see the look on your face. Like who raised me?

Morning menu peeps!

QOTD: Favorite Disney movie? That's a tough call... I would have to go with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from my childhood... but I adore The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo from the more recent ones, with Monster's Inc coming in on that list as well.

Weight this morning 148.4... exactly 1 measly pound lost in the last month. thump This is my 10 month surgiversary... and while I'm obviously not happy with the scale number, I do know that my measurements went down this last month, and my cup size on my bra apparently has gone down... so I am still changing... and with the HRT pellet and the too many tastes of things, I am not surprised, nor devastated... For those of you freshly out of surgery... find your favorite Vet, and listen to them! Gets really tough the longer you are out from surgery, and the less weight you have to lose! Get your eating habits perfect now!

I don't want to chase 5-10 pounds for the rest of my life! I am very pleased with the changes in my appearance, and the clothes I can wear, but I have to get the next few pounds off so I can just be at war with the 3-5 pound fluctuations, and drive myself insane there instead LOL Also, need to build my stamina and muscle mass... however, that would entail me actually going to the gym... which I haven't done this week at all.

I did, however, make sous vide egg bites last night, and had one for breakfast already, and they are spectacular!!! I will experiment a bit with the bacon (I did bacon and aged cheddar)... Mine didn't come out sitting on the top, but rather ensconced in the middle, and having 1/2 piece of bacon in the middle didn't work for me. I have a roast thawing, and will marinate it tonight for cooking this weekend! Really looking forward to that!

B: 2 cups decaf with half and half

B2: Sous vide egg bite (1 egg and 1/2 piece of bacon... I need to do the calorie count on this!)

L: Taking my son to lunch today at our local Chinese/American food cuisine in Piedmont... mediocre at best, but I'll get the seafood stirfry, no rice.

D: One more Hello Fresh dish to be cooked... this one is chicken breasts with some kind of zucchini 'blanket' on top... It's been fun having the kids cook... tonight hubby cooks.

I'm feeling better today. I see my surgeon at 3 so I will see that he says about my gallbladder. I ended up eating some tuna on 34° crackers and it sat fine.

QOTD: I love so many but Dumbo was one of my first favorites.

I'm playing my menu by ear. I will probably try to eat some turkey meatballs. They've never seem to upset anything previously.

Exciting stuff with the marathon plans! I stopped running about a year ago because of a combination of my weight and arthritis in my hips. I'm hoping to start again when I'm lighter. Hopefully it won't cause pain that keeps me up at night... but getting fitted for sneakers and bras was soooo important for me. Made such a difference! Make sure you have good socks for long runs. I would always get blisters on my toes along the Seam of cheap socks.

today is an exciting day for me because I can go back to spin class! My activity restrictions are lifted!!!! I went this morning and I was all ready to go straight in to work with my shower stuff, clothes, hair stuff, and makeup... but while I was in the shower I realized that this routine change made me forget to toss my vitamins in my lunch bag!!!! So I ran home with wet hair and no makeup for the vitamins.

my schedule is messed up and I don't know if I'll have time to eat all this stuff but it's all here with me in its little containers:

B coffee with scoop vanilla protein powder and a little milk. Later leftover protein muffins with torani ricotta

S half cup cottage cheese (maybe I'll eat this after lunch?)

L 3 vegetarian bacon cheeseburger egg bites (modified eggface recipe)

S half cup Greek yogurt with scoop vanilla protein powder and pumpkin pie spice

D leftover cauliflower fried rice (modified eggface recipe)

Yes! No cotton socks! You will blister for sure. Make sure you're wearing wicking socks!

Good morning JB and Gang. I had a daycare emergency today. My mom had to be in court, and my back up sitter bailed on me. My MIL has been sick, so instead of trying to work from home today, I decided to use PTO and take a vacation day. That means that I slept in to 7:30 this morning. First thing I did after we got dressed and ready was to go and get Bugsy his dog license, since he just got his Rabies shot on Monday. Now I'm at the Library with my kiddo. He missed this place and was so excited to come here. Right now he's busy playing with the awesome doll house that is here. This has again sparked the desire to make him his very own. I have the tools needed to make one. I'm going to do some googling and see if I can find a Youtube video that can walk me through it. It should be easy enough. Here is a pic of the one they have here at the Library. I know that Grim is a woodworker, so I'm wondering if he reads this if he has any advice. Edit to add the photo which I forgot with the original post:

BTW, I'm getting dirty looks from the some of the other moms here at the library because Kal has a few cold sores on his mouth. I considered not bringing him here, because of them, but he was so set on coming that I decided to come anyway. We've been using hand sanitizer since we got here. He hasn't had a fever in 2 days and his cold sores are from then. He's gotten cold sores since he was a year old when he got the virus from me and got super sick.

My plan for the day is kinda up in the air. I ate half a bagel with cream cheese at the Library cafe, and am drinking coffee. I'm not particularly hungry today. I plan on hitting up the new Aldi that they opened around the corner from me. It's much closer and I'll likely make it a monthly stop if I find stuff that works for me.

19.5 months since surgery

B: 1/2 bagel with cream cheese. Coffee with half and half and half a splenda pack.

L: No idea. Something protein only.

D: grilled chicken with something

No totals. I'm just winging it today. probably not the best idea, but I'm free for the day and am going with the flow.

I'll try to take Bugsy out for a long walk when my oldest gets home from school. It's a bit too windy to try to take him and Kal at the same time, so I'll need to go alone, so Joey will watch Kal for me for a bit.

Have a great day everyone!

another edit to add the QOTD: The Little Mermaid. It came out when I was in my teens and I loved it. The music, the characters, everything about it.

I have seen some unfinished ones at craft stores like AC Moore, that are pretty cheap, so that you don't have to do the actual building, but you can do the decorating! You can get wallpaper samples and paint and make it a craft project with Kal. Have a great day off!
