Update - On the JV Bench!
just
a quick update because I'm tapping this out on my phone and I'm super sleepy from
the Oxy. I'm going to have to spend some time on the JV bench....the band is out (HALLELUJAH) but no RNY yet. My scar tissue was pretty extensive and apparently my band was very stubborn about wanting to stay in...after 2 hours it was out and my doc felt that it was enough for today. I'm actually really pleased with her decision....I knew it was a possibility going in and I'd rather do the slow route, letting the area that will become my staple line heal up. In 3-6m I'll go I. For round 2. My doctor told me I did kick-ass job shrinking my liver....made me very happy to hear it!
ill do a blog post later with more details just wanted to let you guys know how it went :)

Im glad you are doing ok and Im sorry that they weren't able to do the RNY today. At least you can heal from this before you tackle the next hurdle.

It sounds like your doctor has your best interests at heart. I'm sorry you couldn't get the RNY today, but when you are able, your body will be strong and rested and ready for it.
Big hugs.

I am glad you made it through... and you are OK with the decision. In the scheme of things better to do what is best for your body. You will get there....

I'm sorry that they weren't able to do the whole procedure, but it sounds like it is better to let things heal.
