Twas the Night Before Surgery
on 3/15/17 8:07 am
Nicely done! Thinking of you this morning as you head to surgery. Sip walk sip walk rest!!!!
Your surgery day's here and I bet you're excited,
Or anxious, or worried, or simply delighted.
Your journey's beginning, your time now has come,
For a brand new bright start; you've only begun.
Soon you'll be asked to breathe deeply and sleep,
The surgeons will talk, but you won't hear a peep.
They'll wake you and say it was all a success,
You'll feel groggy and tired, your hair quite a mess.
You'll be wheeled to a room where recovery begins
You'll sip so much water you think you'll grow fins.
You'll feel sore and exhausted and even quite dozy,
Don't worry, the nurses will keep you quite cozy.
You'll be kept so busy with sipping and walking,
And tooting and resting, and maybe some talking,
With friends and with family who're happy for you.
You did it! There's nothing that you cannot do!
All the best!
Kathy
