I love "bless your heart!" my usual go to is "And how is that working for you?" (because it usually isn't)

Ah, the milk of human kindness never fails to amaze.

I have had a couple of comments directed at me, but mostly from my mother's husband, who suffers from rightitis, chronic foot in mouth, asshattery, and mansplaining. I once ran into him in the grocery store and he told me I looked 'frail'. Then he asked what I was doing there since I don't eat. I told him I was there to visit food.

He also presumed to lecture me on the merits of low carb eating, AFTER I had surgery. He apparently didn't think I was doing it right. I make sure I flip him as much **** back as he flips me.

Most people, though, don't say anything to me. I do not invite comment and cultivate an air of 'nothing to see here--boring old broad'.

I've had a couple of ****ty comments from people on other subjects. Some people are so intent on getting their opinion out that they cannot fathom someone might not want to hear it. If people step on my boundaries I will just distance myself if I think saying something will not turn on a light for them.

I fight badgers with spoons.

That's the best response. "I'm visiting food"

Ah Kate. I so you.

Visiting food? Best answer ever. All the other stuff is pretty awesome too, but that's hands down my fav.

I have referred to myself as "Food's Creepy Stalker Ex Girlfriend". :)

Me: I know we can't ever be together again...I just like seeing you happy.

Food: You keep following me around. Please stop.

Me: Oh...is this your personal space? I don't see your name on it!

Food: Yes, this is my front porch. Please go now.

People will always have their two cents. It sucks sometimes.

I remember when I was pregnant and it was the third time I had a miscarriage that so many people would tell me horrible things. Like what the hell are these people thinking.

When I had my daughter at 30 weeks the stuff people was not always encouraging. It was downright scary.

Other people who I knew and didn't know did have good things to say.

Some people have no filter. They don't care.

I guess we have to take the good with the bad. And know that we helped someone on the way.
