RNY - Cream Soups in Canada
Hello All,
I am fairly new to this site, I am scheduled to have my surgery in a few days on March 21st at Toronto Western Hospital and I am trying to get a few last minute supplies. One being the cream soups, which ones are safe to use and buy. I am totally lost with this. I live in Canada and I don't seem to find any low in fat, low in carbs, low in sugars etc. If anyone have any suggestions of what they used I would really appreciate the help.
Thank you!
Melissa
I am in Canada and I am 3 weeks out. You can find low fat broccoli, low fat cream of mushroom, low back cream of celery and plain tomato all made by Campbell's. I also found some butternut squash and roasted red pepper and some potato and leek soup that has been good. I found them at local grocery store and Walmart.

If you are looking for right after surgery I wouldn't worry. I ate regular cream of chicken (with unflavoured protein powder added). You eat so very little the difference it fat levels is negligible when you are talking a few tablespoons of soup.
When you are further out and eating more these things might make more of a difference. I, personally, try to limit carbs and don't worry about fat. Fat helps me poop :D
