Here on this board we have done a few "challenges" together, including the All Meat All Week (AMAW) challenge, which is just a fun group way to get us all to give up carbs for a week together.
I am not doing a full week right now, but I felt like I needed to do something a little more drastic to get the scale moving and my head back in the game.
Most of us who do an AMAW challenge find that we lose upwards of 4 lbs in a week, regardless of how far out from surgery we are.
Good Morning! Hope all the East Coast are safe and warm. Great job on your run yesterday!!
QOTD: I cannot sing, can you say tone deaf??
Time since surgery: 2 years, 7 months
B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Spaghetti squash casserole and baby carrots
S: SF latte, Yoplait Greek 100 banana caramel yogurt, buddig beef pack, and a boiled egg

Good Morning JB and Menu Family,
QOTD: I'm a horrible singer and I NEVER sing unless I'm alone like in the car with the windows rolled up. When I was in grade school a girl in music class raised her hand and asked the music teacher, "Can you please move me away from Karen? She's singing off-key and it's messing me up." I was so mortified and from then on I only lip-synced when singing in public or in church.
B: bacon & spinach egg frittata
L: lettuce, h.b. eggs, bacon, cheese, low cal dressing
D: homemade chili
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: prosciutto & mozzarella cheese sticks
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision.
Have a great day everyone!
~ Karen

We are getting light snow off and on here in Illinois but nothing is really sticking. Lily and I will head out after I finish my coffee for our 3.2 miles. I don't really feel like it because this cold and stuffed up head is kicking my butt BUT I will do it anyway. I will make a good choice.QOTD I have no vocal training but God gifted me with a good voice that I share with others one Sunday a month at church. I also sing at the local nursing home and am in the Easter cantata that is coming up on Maundy Thursday. Post op 4 years 6 months and weight up a bit at 118. Here's the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz turkey meatloaf 1/2 c Brussels sprouts D 1/2 c crab salad 2 small stuffed mushrooms S Quest peanut butter chocolate protein bar. Goal today is to eat only my measured food as when I don't feel well I want to snack. Just a bite here and there but those bites add up. Goal today is to stay true to plan with no extras. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal!
Good morning, JB and menu family! I sure hope all of you that are getting snow and rain stay safe and warm. Weather here is nice and warm today. I'm wearing capris and flip flops due to highs near 80 degrees.
QOTD: I love to sing. I sing all the time. Simple conversations remind me of songs, and I will bust out with some random lyrics. I grew up with music of all sorts. I played in the band, and I love to hum along. I'm not a great singer, but not terrible, either. I mean, the dogs don't start howling when I start singing, so I must not be too terrible.
3.5 months since RNY, weight this morning is 189. Only four more pounds to go to reach my next goal of "100 lbs lost!"
Today's plan:
B: Crack Chicken
S: Salmon, cauliflower rice
L: Chicken Hobo Dinner
S: Chicken Hobo Dinner
D: Chicken Hobo Dinner, Crack Chicken, or Salmon with Cauliflower Rice (I have a lot of left overs that will be going into the freezer after tonight.)
S: Spoon of PB
Not much variety today, but that's ok. I hate wasting food.
L/V: Got them going
E: Planting more in the garden tonight, but hoping that I will get to take a little walk. Help clear my head.
