What's on your Tuesday Menu RNYers?
So the snow isn't nearly as bad as they predicted here. I think there is maybe 3" out there now- but it sounds more like rain falling, maybe icy rain, now. Schools are closed but they have a delayed opening for work, 10am. I'll decide if I'll go it. I wasn't banking on a delayed start- just an all or nothing day. Ugh.
Qotd: nope can't sing, unless you count in my car, in my head or in the shower. Then I can rival best of them :-) funny, church folks tend to believe everyone can sing- I was watching a FB live video of a friend who is a pastor and his wife was signing--albeit not very well. I'm technically a pastor's wife- no way will you find me in the front of the church in song.
So I'm cutting my calories back more- to 850. This is getting real- still can't totally shake these extra 3# that have me above my comfort zone. I can't keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. Good thing I still don't have hunger- may as well take advantage while I can.

No snow in southern Indiana but it is cold and I am over it. I would have been happy with cold weather and snow a month ago, but it is March and I am freaking over it!!! I am ready for flip flops and my pool to be open.
QOTD: I was gifted with the talent to sing from my dad. I used to sing in a band and on my own. I lost my confidence when I gained weight and haven't sang in public for a few years. I may get back into it this summer and do some shows with my nephew who is a talented musician.
B: breakfast casserole
L: Left over chicken pot pie
D: Mexican casserole since we didn't have it last night
S: celery with cream cheese (thanks to someone on here for the idea) cutie orange

That is a great goal! To sing with your nephew again, you will be so happy to get back to doing the things you love!
Morning or goodnight for me!
Ive only ever been in 2 blizzards in my life. One in Seattle in 1995 and the other in Bruxelles in 2008. Sounds kinda romantic and snuggley if your are home.
QOTD: I wish I could sing! My youngest son sang for the past 5 years in an all boys choir. He is an amazing singer. His choir, Les Pastoureaux, petits chanteurs de Waterloo sing everything from Mozart to folk musique. It is one of the best things our family got to experience through his concerts and tours of Europe. Music is a powerful thing and I wish I had more musical talent but I'm so glad he does and that he isn't afraid to share it!
OK 3. 5 years postop revision to RNY. Maintenance menu with an eye to gain a few pounds.
3 cups coffee with full milk
plain full fat yogurt with protein powder, hand full of almonds
Momo dumplings filled with pork and stir fried garlic green beans
kasugai peas and green tea smoked sardines
Taco bake with guacamole
4 litres of water and 9,350 steps and 28 floors climbed.
Tea smoked sardines??? Sounds very interesting!
I saw that you responded to me yesterday, but I'll be damned if I can ever get back to it without scrolling for 5 minutes... so I'm responding here...
If I ever get to Japan, I will definitely let you know! I love OH meet ups (I haven't been to one yet... but...)!
Dumplings.... Mmmmmmmmm..... I need to make a stop this week with my son at the Asian market (his favorite place to go), and we'll be picking up some frozen dumplings... but I bet they're nothing like the ones you are experiencing over there.

Hey there friend! You know what I think about the head trip that is WLS! I think maybe we should have a maintenance forum here. Not to exclude newbies but a place where folks can post and research about life 18 months and out.
You are right that the we are left hanging when it comes to the serious maintenance stuff. I know I'm a bit off in needing to shift on weight per my preference. Believe me, here in Japan? I am on the heavy side and had my new PCP imply that I should drop a few so my BMI was close to 18! It's all a head game.
Wow! BMI of 18? Yikes.
