What's on Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Monday Morning Madness!!!!
Hope everyone has a good day, in spite of the time change and it being a Monday... it's Spring Break here this week, and we're having cold weather... poor kids. I'm taking tomorrow afternoon off to go with my sister in law and her 8yo to the Science Museum... my kids are excited, which I'm surprised about considering I thought they'd be too old, but we'll see. I'd also like to take another afternoon off to do something else with them, but my daughter is either working, or has plans for most of the week. So, I will probably take my son out one afternoon, and then at some point I'd like for all four of us to do something, but highly unlikely...
QOTD: I read about all of the faux things, and I do some of them, but 99% of the time, it's the savory dishes, and probably 80% of that it's with cauliflower! Most of the sweet faux things I've read are usually still high in calories, and not usually truly low carb. And I figure I don't need the extra calories, or reasons to eat... I don't do any of the frozen treats, but I'm not a huge ice cream fan anyway... I haven't done the pancake things either, because I get so full just eating the bacon and eggs... Right now, I steer clear of the faux things...
Weight this morning 149.0 - I did take a few measurements, and I think my waist is down 1/2", I noticed a pair of size 10's are now too big on me this weekend, but no real weight loss.... Gonna have to get down and dirty, I'm afraid, to get more weight off... I need to find my willpower for that.
B: 2 cups of decaf with half and half
B2: rotisserie chicken leg and a small piece of breast meat (total 3.5 ounces)
L: Roast from last week 3 ounces
D: Up in the air. Tomorrow I think that I'll receive this cooking basket things that someone sent me a 'free' basket to... only I can't remember which company, and I haven't received an email telling me it's coming... I THINK I signed up for it - and did it this week so my son could cook for us - but maybe I'm insane after all...

It would be more awesome if I hadn't seen it for the first time before I got this HRT pellet in my hip! Hahaha! I'm afraid this month might be a wash... I was 149.4 on the 16th of last month... this hasn't been a good month for me...
But, the PA did say to expect a 4-5 gain TEMPORARILY from the HRT... so I'm realllllly trying to hope against hope this is due, in part, to that... and the fact that I'm so close to my original goal, I need to step back and reevaluate how I'm going to get the rest of this weight off of me... Man, the Vets don't lie about this getting harder the further out you get!!!

First off- Yay! on 5 miles!! You go JB!! woop! woop!
I have been to the gym this AM- already...I can't believe I am actually considering joining. I had vowed to myself I would never join a gym again! Of course I have totally hit it off with the General Manager and the Fitness Manager... They have given me 2 free personal training sessions already- Oh they know an easy mark... it would be so hard to say no. They have hit all my marks- don't have to make a full year commitment is #1... second one of their plans is basically you sign up fpr weekly personal training sessions and you get the use of the rest of the gym with the plan. So you aren't paying a gym membership and then personal training on top. You don't lose those sessions either if you are on vacation etc...
QOTD: This is a fabulous question of the day right now..because I have been up to my eyeballs in faux carbs this past week or so, and I can't tell you if it helps or hurts.I'm leaning towards it doesn't help the weight, but keeps the mental in check... First it was a protein pancake a day recipe...still can't say I was over the moon about any of them. Then the last few days I resurrected my low carb chocolate mug cake... and discovered if you take a 1/2c very thick plain greek yogurt(siggis) add some vanilla and Swerve it tastes whipped-cream-ish. Whole she-bang 175 calories. When I do SF cheesecake it is only for company, and I can only save one extra piece and then need to give the rest away. I call it public food. I can control it in public.
I could eat this everyday. Every Day. Twice a day if I allowed myself. It was on yesterday's menu and I ate it.
B: 2 latte day- w/fairlife and miralax in one. One before gym, one after gym
B2: scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon pieces
L: Chicken, stir fry veggies
D: Steak, green beans
Snacks: Chocolate chai latte, Chocolate mug cake w/yogurt
Ex: Gym and PT. may try to get out for a run/walk before the snow sets in tomorrow...
Edit: I also bought some Hebrew National Lite hot dogs because I saw a recipe for using the fathead pizza dough as a 'pigs in blanket' kind of covering and then I'm thinking TJ's Everything bagel topping on top. I am obsessed with that stuff...

Just because misery loves company...and so you don't think you are alone. I went into a stall one week after surgery and it lasted 3 1/2 weeks. Nothing, nada, zilch for 3 1/2 weeks. You wonder how it is possible when you can barely eat. Laws of physics and calories be damned our bodies do what they want when they want. It will happen. I was sure I was the only one this wasn't going to work for....
