QOTD: I am not sure. I sometimes eat sugar-free pudding as a treat and sometimes I will eat a protein bar if I still have calories left and need the protein at the end of the day.

S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

well, I was planning to start my trek home tomorrow (it's a 1.5 day drive), but I don't know. Snow should be out of the Midwest by the time I'd be driving through it on Wed, but then, they're calling for 3-5" in the NC mountains tonight. Mountain winter driving is way worse than winter driving in Wisconsin - they have a million curves and steep hills here!! So I'm thinking about leaving either later today or early Wed morning now..

QOTD: I almost never do faux unhealthy things for the reason you mentioned - potential slippery slope. DH and I did order a piece of low-carb cheesecake once at the Cheesecake Factory, though, and split it. But that's a rarity for me. I do, however, sometimes eat a Fit & Light yogurt at night when I'm thinking about ice cream (or even when I'm *not* thinking about ice cream) - but I don't think that's as bad. "Faux" ice cream (or whatever) would be more dangerous, I think - too close to the real thing.

Good morning JB and menu crew. I had a busy weekend , and did not make good choices while away for the weekend. I am going to do a version of AMAW and get back to the grind, nothing works like that for me.

QOTD - while I do not make many faux recipes, I do use Protein bars to try and offset desire for sweets, not the best strategy and this week I am not going to have a protein bar this week while I do AMAW.

B- Egg salad

D - Italian Sausage and A1 Sauce

S - Buddig Ham

D - Shrimp ****tail and sauce.

I will have another snack prior to going to the gym.

E - 90 minutes cardio tonight.

Stay healthy my friends. Mike

I have tried just about every protein bar out there and they all taste like they have fake something in them so I just can't eat them, I guess that's a good thing though, I do have a weakness and that is nuts, that is something I can't stop once I start, so I just don't allow them in the house.

Good morning,

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you will get 2 snow days!

Day 6 post op- could not sleep last night. No clue why. It's like my body knew I was returning to work today and wanted to make sure I'd be extra tired. I did more exercise yesterday than I have so far and should have been tired. Oh well, looking on the bright side I drank a bunch of water overnight and feel properly hydrated for the first time post op.

D: depends? Thinking I'll pick up the lemon grass bone broth for a flavor twist after work if I'm not too tired. Otherwise some other form of... you guessed it- protein! Lol

I used to like mixing Leomanade flavored Crystal Light into the Strawberry Unjury! It makes a distinctly summer refreshing flavor without taking away any protein.
